Hey guys my freind is trying to istall the latest patch of Qwars but gets the error “windows nt and windows 95/98/ME/200 are not supported” when se trys to install it, now ive looked absolutely everywhere on the forum, been up most of the night now looking for a solution its now (5:30 am C_C) and i cant find a single topic on it, if anyone knows a fix please link or tell us, thanks for reading.

no the patch was downloaded via the in game updater and we have tried to download from there, it is a windows system, i had this same issue with my laptop (win7 64 premium), but can not for the love of stroggos remeber the work arround. :rolleyes:
I didn’t have any problems when i installed it on desktop (32 bit Win7) or laptop (64 bit Win7). Only thing i can thing of is uninstall etqw then re-install and patch it outside of the game, thats what i did.
the games working fine under windows 7, its the patch that fails to start, as i said on the previous post, tried both ingame downlaod (which saves and .exe file to your documents) and an external download, both give the same error “Windows NT 95/98/ME/2000 are not supported” we have tried to run it in compatability mode, for XP vista and even tried to run as admin, the patch seems it does not want to install.

My Laptop have Windows 7 Home Premium, i believe it’s 64 bits because i have a “Program Files” and “Program Files (x86)” folders.
I instaled ETQW and downloaded the Windows patch from a site. It’s working well.
Options:
1 - My W7 is not 64 bits.
2 - I was luck.
3 - You was unluck.
4 - It’s God wish (hehe).

try running ET:QW in compatibility for windows vista. I run Win7 64 bit and that helped with some problems.
sorry for the bad typing, was up all night trying to figure it out, anyway still no luck on getting it to patch the game 
if anyone has absolutly any idea how to get arround it please post.

dont recall ever seeing or hearing about this error with W7…
installed a new ssd driver two days ago, WIN7 x64 bit- loaded ETQW, no problem- ran the updater online, again, no problem…
is it a legit copy of ETQW???
yes the game is legit, where going to try an earlier patch, hopefuly if it works, we can get the 1.6 incremental to work.

apparently patch 1.0-1.4 worked fine, but 1.4-1.5 still gives the error :\

or try running the installer as a admin, which you have todo on most old games
