pak files

hey for all you ET guru’s. I was cleaning out some of my useless map .pk3 files taht i have d/led over the years from ET servers and I found a whole bunch called pak# where the number is some number. I have like 50 of them so do I need them or not. I dont want to find out the hard way cause i dont like re-installing unless i have to. THanks

You want to keep pak0.pk3 and pak1.pk3. Pak0.pk3 is your entire game basically, so DO NOT delete it :banghead: :P. All the other files are probably mods (skins / soundpacks / maps etc.). Not sure? Use WinRAR / PakScape to open the files to see for yourself. If the pk3 only contains a folder “sounds”, “textures” or both, you’ve got a soundmod / skinmod.

Um, you don’t have to delete them to find out.

Move them to another folder, then delete them after testing that ET still works.

i no i was jsut wondering, i didnt want to move them to find out either(to much work :S)
