Operation Ostra Brama

(Blowfish) #1

For my new map I need a tree line. I have seen it before on some of the mappers websites, but cant remember where. Any ideas ? The map will be partly played in the woods. Hope this will work for the fps. Wasnt easy to design…

Here you have a treeline pack by Rayban
It contains 7 textures.

Pictures are, if available, included into the download file.

Ok - i came up with the same treeline pack as Indy then

(Qualmi) #8

you should call your thread operation treeline :stuck_out_tongue: or at least tag it, so that others can find it better afterwards.

(Blowfish) #9

Lol, Think I got it now after 4 times :D. And still I made my own… But you’re all a great fast repliersss…

I am testing now how much the trees will effect the fps. So far no problems. I have one guy in BO , who has baddd fps. Still he has max fps at this point in forest. Next step is to make the transision from treeline to ground better. And I was wondering if the maker of Caen is on this forum. I like his constructable bridge … hint hint…

use fences infront of the trees to beldn the better?
Also use different types of sand on the floor and blend them

(IndyJones) #11

it reminds me colin mcrae rally 2… :stuck_out_tongue:

(Pegazus) #12

Only thing that looks odd for me is the terrain has sandy texture but the trees itself are temperate. Other then that good work

(TheDragon) #13

agreed…

//post too short

(Blowfish) #14

Any nice constructable birdges out there, before i start making my own ?

I have something weard. In my new map I have a river when i am specing it from above all is fine. But when I am on the water level, going a bit up/down, my models on the shore are gone and come back again. tried to remove siwa top, still same problem. Any ideas ? Or someone who want to look at the source :

.map is also inside …

(IndyJones) #18

dont have much time to look at .map, but is this model misc_model or misc_gamemodel?

(Wezelkrozum) #19

Looks like a vis-compile problem. Is your waterbrush detailed?

(Blowfish) #20

Well no idea what the problem was, but when i changed the terrain from a manual made one, to one made with easygen, my problem was also fixed.
