Open GL error

Can you guys help. I bought ETQW yesterday and installed it. whenever I try to boot the game I get this message:

FATAL ERROR: The OpenGL driver doesn’t support wglChoosePixelFormatARB

The OpenGL driver doesn’t support wglChoosePixelFormatARB

I have tried installing my video card drivers and that did nothing to improve the situation

Any ideas?

make sure you have the latest video drivers from the manufacturers site, if that doesn’t work, post your video card spec (Intel onboard is probably a no go)

I think this might be the one that gets solved by downloading and installing the patch first. If that doesn’t work, I recall that the OpenGL bug can be fixed by installing Rivatuner.

  • Enter Driver settings go to the OpenGL settings.

  • Next go to Rendering Quality and UNCHECK the (compress to DXT3 to DXT1)

  • Exit RivaTuner and Reboot.

Like you need rivatuner/traytools for that… both catalyst and nvidia cpanel have those options.

I only had to do it once on a different PC, but either way it should solve it. Not sure how to get to those settings in nvidia or catalyst, guessing its under manage 3d settings?, so maybe you should tell em :wink:.

I have got the latest patch, installing it now. hope it works fingers crossed
