Any chance you plan to have a OLTL mode in ET?

The OLTL servers lead to more teamwork and strategy than the unlimited life servers.

Helps to teach survival to people alright :wink:

In fact tho - Why Leave it at that - there are several other “modes” out there that would be nice to incorperate as std - rather than mods…

Team conversion looks fun - also some of the added extras that shrub/osp give are great.

Take the best from the rest and do it better I say…

Xian over at id is a big fan of max lives and runs it on his server all time; it’s proving very popular.

I’d love to see it as an option in Enemy Territory, it’ll just depend on whether we have time to get it in, tested and balanced for the initial release.

Either way, I’m sure it’ll end up in ET eventually. id definitely want us to put it in as an option.

Thanks very much for considering the OLTL mode.

I play it almost exclusively and find the level of gameplay much higher than anywhere else.

The only real trouble with OLTL are airstrikes. They can be abused on certain maps and lead to a standoff where both sides simply lob smoke grenades toward each other.
