i downloaded omnibot 0.8 thinking id be able to play with them offline since i have no net on pc right now but i cant seem to get them set up on a non net server. how can i do this or are they only for dedicated servers? i downloaded them and put the folders in wolf-et folder… the mod shows up in mods and i click it looks like it worked but when i start game there not there.
omnibot offline
Create a file called bots.cfg in mod folder.
And add this into it:
// bot addbot <team> <class> <name>
bot addbot 1 1 Soldat-Axis
bot addbot 1 2 Sani-Axis
bot addbot 1 3 Engi-Axis
bot addbot 1 4 Leut-Axis
bot addbot 1 5 Covert-Axis
bot addbot 2 1 Soldier-Allied
bot addbot 2 2 Medic-Allied
bot addbot 2 3 Engi-Allied
bot addbot 2 4 Leut-Allied
bot addbot 2 5 Covert-Allied
Then in-game do in console /exec bots.cfg
Go to your et.exe shortcut and right click on it -> then click properties -> target “C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe” +set fs_game etpub +set dedicated 1 +set omnibot_enable 1 +set omnibot_path “C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etpub/omni-bot” +set rconpassword “rconpw”
It should auto start as etpub mod now (make sure omnibot folder is in etpub folder). Click ingame on server hosting and start the stuff you want. While running ingame on your server type /rcon rconpw bot maxbots 10
They should connect now

dont need to be, it will find it in wolfenstein folder too
still not working i tried putting the .cfg in both folders that came in the the one is named “omnibot”( contains a folder named profiles and files named “omnibot_et.pk3” and “qagame_mp_x86.dll”) the other, named “omni-bot” (contains folders named “et” “global_scripts” “gui” and a file named "omnibot_et.dll) im asuming the first one is the mod folder but when i try to exec the file it says couldnt exec bots.cfg
I have no mods besides TJ since i have no net i will just be playing the bots on a non modded server( if you even call it a server since im not online)
well i followed directions alittle more carefully and got them to join. but now i dont know what i messed up in the process. when i started fueldump. there was no tank and all objectives were already blown up but the game kept going. thank you all for the quick replys by the way
it probably was something stupid like that but since i dont have much besides the vanilla files i just reinstalled. got the bots and all working fine. there actually not that bad. thanks for the help patience
while im here i might as well ask… how do i eneble cheats on a home server… i need to noclip over a few trickjumps to come back to them later… also if anyone could throw out a few gammajump maps that are small in file size but still good
Instead of using /map bspname, use /devmap bspname
sv_cheats 1 if needed with this, I think I have noclip without sv_cheats, I never got deep in my local map testing config (Compared to online server or ETPro config x) ).
ok last thing and ill end this thread… does anyone know where i can download maps that arent zipped? i have a really slow connection and the downloads keep failing. even when i resume the zip becomes corrupted… is there a place that hosts just the .pk3 uncompressed?
thats a cool site i didnt know about but they dont seem to have any trickjump maps at all
Google:
intitle:”index.of” “etmain” (pk3)
WIll give you a bunch of file servers where you can find pk3’s to download.
they download fine but they still come in a zip folder with all the script and texture files inside… is there a way to convert them back into a .pk3 a pk3 creator or something? wolfET is not recognising them in the map list… sorry to keep dragging this thread out.
A PK3 is a ZIP file; Just rename ZIP to PK3
You may update your Internet browser/Download Manager, I remember having this issue on my XP some time ago.
