Old dogs for fun

Any older players there? Older i mean like real old. From 30 to 100
Chillin, relaxing and sometimes to kick asses some of these kids … and possibly our kids hehe
Played against my first fellow [OLDOG] tagged player today. GG

Just a reminder for those who have not seen it.

Our Discord channel is here: https://discord.gg/X5bMTwn

And I’ve created a Steam group here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/db_oldog

We’re not a clan per se. [OLDOG] is an open tag for players who are 30+ years old and who consider them selves veteran gamers. If that’s you, feel free to tag yourself and join us in our quest for world domination over young bloods.
no im still young.

(Herr_Hanz) #3

i know a dad of 41 and his 10 year old son who play CS together.

(doxjq) #4

Probably plenty of older people on Dirty Bomb tbh. I’m 29 and I’m still considered a youngin to most of the loyal Quake Live population hah. But Dirty Bomb kind of attracts that old school population that enjoys aim heavy games with technical movement systems :stuck_out_tongue:

(RazielWarmonic) #5

Pinging… @Nail … The lovable old man of the forums.

(Xenithos) #6

My Dad plays occasionally, he’s in your age range.
Also, Nail does kinda seem like the “lovable” old man of the forums… well said Raziel.

(Xenithos) #7

Is GrumpyBull in that age range? His profile picture and actions make me think he’s a grumpy farmer.

I’m as old as early open Beta, is that OK?

(The_N00Ba) #13

I believe I just turned OLD I mean 30 this year…some time… yeah… some time.
As a side note… I imagine this is what Nail goes through just about every time some one Pings them.

(Cletus_VanDamme) #14

lol.

Yes, I am a grumpy old man.

And my profile pic isn’t a selfie sorry. Just a random picture from an AUS tourism advert.

(x3mytiz) #15

I was 23 when Commander Keen was released. That was my first PC game. Am I old?

(Amerika) #16

I believe I qualify to post in this thread B)

(Xenithos) #17

@Nimeni Yes… yes you are. Those were made in 1990-91 area if I’m not incorrect. I know because they work on MS-DOS and also DOS Box. I’m currently fixing an old monorail up so my Grandmother can have all of her old MS-DOS games working again. Ironically, the original Commander Keen is one of the games she wants to have working again for my younger cousins to enjoy.

(KUST__LunarTM) #18

Old is all relative though. I’m old compared to all my family friends’ families, but I’m really young compared to the people in here.

(x3mytiz) #19

You are right, @Xenithos! Commander Keen was released in '90. Two years later, Wolfenstein 3D Spear of Destiny was my first FPS. Maybe your grandma would like to have it also on her vintage machine. If it’s not too bloody for your cousins.
I remember I have played those games on a computer from my work place, here in eastern Europe PCs were too expensive to buy for home (so they weren’t ‘personal’ :stuck_out_tongue: ). It was an 286 Intel and I only remember that it had 40MB HDD!
Anyway, wish your grandmother long healthy life!

I’m an old wolf. Age 40. Been a gamer since I was 8 and will hopefully continue till I’m 80+
