set your fps to whaever your vid card can handle as long as it dosent go over 125 fps. anything over 120 would really be a waste.

Hi!
The main thing is to have a fast computer, besides hours of practise. I have a pentium 4, 2 Ghz (512 ram), and it’s ok.
Some say you jump better if you join a public server (with good ping), compared to hosting and joining a private server on your own computer - but I’ve never noticed a difference. But I have noticed that I sometimes jump higher with fps set at certain values. I use com_maxfps 76 and 125. pmoved_fixed 1 helps too sometimes.
