Yeah I’m with you on this. I saw that recently all the voice files started going up on YouTube, and as an [url=“https://www.youtube.com/c/GianniMatragranoVoiceActor”]amateur VA, I’m super down with it. +1 for voice acting. If you’re curious, it seems the models are actually modeled after their VAs, and we have a little thread going about the [url=“http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/13851/voice-actor-credits/p1”]credits for the actors.

I listened to Phantom’s lines yesterday actually, I was losing my shit throughout it, but then I heard “GO LEAP IN A LAKE” and I was done, sold, bought, wrapped, and ready for shipping.

I think they’ll add more VA’s once they’ll release all the mercs they have planned, and once that happens, of course they’ll need to add more.

Probably. That’s what I figured too. Somewhere in my wordy bullshit is something like “It’s a beta, probably will be in official release”, and then somewhere else is probably something like “But eh, at the same time it’s kinda shitty to not credit people for a product that’s being actively consumed, beta or not”.

But I’m hardly upset and I’m guessing the actors themselves aren’t either. If they were they’d say something, and SD seems like the kinda cool crew that would credit immediately if any VA there actually felt really concerned about credits not being in the beta, so for now it’s just fun little trivia for us fans I reckon. You’ll find some links in that thread probably to their casting process or direction process or something, they definitely have an appreciation for their VAs, as evidenced by the outstanding final cut.

Some people just don’t realize how Bad attitude in game or in community (this kind of threads) will turn both of those into very toxic atmospheres.

It’s easy to be a jerk who thinks he’s above others while it’s much more difficult to be the nice guy who actually plays good. I have seen some sour lands on my times with other games (won’t go into details since past isn’t that important).

This poisons the well.
I have no idea why some people feel to act in such way
or
have such attitude towards newbies (or even casuals) who keep the community/game growing.
And yes even the bad player/scrubs count.

Oh, the words that come to mind which describe this kind of behaviour and attitude are “entitlement”, “projection” and “Internet kids”.

Erf, after you’ve played bf2 at very long extent, db voice chat sounds… Quiet and useless. What is surprising though, since games have good voip chats, interesting and useful communications between random players on pub dramatically lowered, no matter the medium. Some people strictly and clearly do not care about v-say commands and voip chat now.

And I don’t know anything about this case here, but people seem to forget to have a smiling moment during their games. More and more. And v-chat is incredibly castrated here. Players are not fun any more.

Typically in games that have voice commands I tend to learn them through muscle memory for immediate and quick use for my team to get some knowledge of the situation as soon as possible… unfortunately Dirty Bomb has such a massive variety of voice commands that tend to be harder for me to remember and so I avoid them. I want to get use to them more though and especially to use important ones besides “Ammo” or “Medic”.

You could also play a medic and not use defibrillators, but help people up. That always spawns a flame war in your own team. Or be an engineer and watch the C4 go off while teabagging it. Always a laugh, they think you’re actually trying!

I would have suggested going Sparks and using REVIVR only for attempting headshots, but that wouldn’t be remotely funny: like 80% of all Sparks is doing that right now.

I have played with Analvomit too. And have seen him (rage)quit couple times. He is good. He can take some nice words and i like to play with him. Havent seen him play as a complete di*khead.

It is just a troll thread.

These kind of threads don’t bring anything to the table. Same goes to that other whiny thread about how matchmaking and whole community is basically trash except his holiness himself. It is just masturbation and will turn ugly and personal fast.

I for one was somebody who flagged it.
