oh my god newbies all over the place !

(skybuck) #1

Well I most said.

ET is a pretty cool and fun game. But still needs some improvements to be reallllly good :stuck_out_tongue:

Less loading, less waiting, more playing

Unfortunately the developers can’t make good players  most people are neeeewbish  No just kidding. Me being playing all day and already much much much better than some newbie…

Oh my god… can you believe that some people didn’t play rtcw at all ?!

ARGGHHH !!!

The worst game mode is last man standing <- stupid

Campaign is nice… but ARGGHHHH the reloading is ARGHHHH
I just wanna play… I dont wanna play 20 mins and then wait 5 minutes for a reload

All in all you dudes did a good job at making a new RTCW kinda thing…

But it’s not yet RTCW worthy

(alexwryt) #2

Yeah I know what you mean, I have been playing RTCW since it first came out, now in ET it feels like I am the greatest player ever gunning down newbies with ease. The only thing that makes me feel newbish is the covert ops, I never notice the damn big red cross until it’s too late and I have a team kill on my name.

(pack) #3

dunno, i like newbies. Everyone seems to be so friendly each match. Saying gg and stuff. And most learn quickly…

(Rob SAS) #4

Errrrm it was only released today, therefore everyone is a newbie including you

(shao) #5

some of us had it prior to today, and got practice in today.

i find it especially annoying though how i get tk’d when i steal someones uniform as covert ops. Having not seen anyone else steal uniforms i don’t know how visible as a team-mate in disguise, but can it be made more evident??

(alexwryt) #6

Yeah it is pretty hard to tell. There is a red cross that comes up when your cursor is on the person, but by the time I notice it I have already pumped like 2 or 3 bullets into their head. When you are in the zone you don’t aim at the person, pause with the cursor on them, then shoot. When I am moving my cursor towards their head my finger is already starting to press the button.

(shao) #7

kind of annoying… as with a covert ops and an engineer in league with each other allies can get a quick win by going through the locked door…
until someone tk’s that is.

(skybuck) #8

Yeah I am new to the ET too… I played it like 10 hours non stop and learned fast… I have also played RTCW a lot…

Some people probably didn’t play RTCW and it shows on the battlefield.

Don’t get mad at me ok ?

I am just hoping people will catch up fast and become really good !
At least a bit better than now… because now I can take allies and axis on at the same time like rambo

(skybuck) #9

OH COOL !!! You telling me a covert ops can go through a locked-door !!!

That IS SOOO COOL !

See I am a newbie too and still have so much to learn !

For example I am not that good with mortar… I wonder if there is a trick to somehow figure out the perfecty trajectory…

And sometimes it shows a orange cross what is that all about…

That should probably go into a seperate thread but what the hell.

(shao) #10

according the the text file which lists current bugs…

the orange cross you probably see is because a covert op has thrown a smoke grenade… essentially you can get a covert op to drop a smoke grenade where you want to aim your mortar and those co-ordinates show on the mortar guide - except it’s not quite working properly in this test. Also fired mortas are supposed to show in the command map… again, this isn’t something i’ve tested - i’ve already seen some people being very accurate with them, so there has to be a knack, and that’s probably it.

(shao) #11

oh… aswell i believe covert ops can only go thru locked doors when in enemy uniforms… the real good thing to do would be to sneak up on to the roof with an engineer, and plant tnt on the fuel tanks whilst leaving the axis objective gates, as this makes it hard for axis to get to defuse the tnt… but you try doing that without being tk’d!
