Official Pk3 files

(umop apisdn=SIE=) #1

I trired following some advice and deleted some pk3 files from ETmain, as vanilla Et games kept crashing, and I heard that this was the fix. When I fired up ET again it said that Id deleted some official pk3 files, so I had to put them back. What are the official pk3 files that I need to keep?

pak0.pk3
pak1.pk3
mp_bin.pk3

Everything else can go.

Hmm, I didn’t say delete them, I said move them. :banghead: Create a directory called, say, pk3temp and move some custom maps and campaigns there (those that you don’t want to use while hosting). When you are done hosting, move them back

damn, I wish I was creative, that’s a really cool name uspide down, mine’s horrificly creative… almost every clan has at least one HawkeyE, my old one had 3, wasn’t very fun communicating…

easier way to know what to delete is sort the folder contents by size and then delete all the pk3’s around 0-1kb anything bigger than that is either a map or a official file
