Noticed bugs at stream preview

This is, what I saw at the containment war preview

  • merc abilities are shown even if you are dead.
  • On the bottom left corner, faction logo can be different than text.
  • Sometimes, You can’t see the loadout card when spectating.
  • Best merc text is not vertically centered with black box.

Not UI related:

  • Turret can shoot through pylons.

And the most important one - the execution missions only count the exp earned in the final round of the game.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for letting us know about these issues I think a few of these are known or fixed - Being able to shoot through pylons and the missions are definitely fixed I checked them recently!

  • On the bottom left corner, faction logo can be different than text. - Could you find the time on the video where this occurs or a screenshot for me to look at.

  • Best merc text is not vertically centered with black box. I will notify the design guys about this and we will get it fixed

  • Sometimes, You can’t see the loadout card when spectating. We do know about this one I don’t think it will be fixed in time for the latest update but it will be fixed for the one after (I’ll make sure of this)

  • merc abilities are shown even if you are dead. I will look into this more but if it refers to Self Revive and Martyrdom then it is supposed to be like that so that you can see when you can use the ability

what about the bug at Bridge last stage where you can look through walls into the garage? :smiley:



has been like this since forever, reported it a few times. seems like a simple clipping job to me

edit: also how is progress on the spectator bug thing where you dont spawn?

There’s a similar issue on that map on the balcony (left in your screenshot, but not visible). There is a pile of tubes there where you can look through the wall, outside the map.

No worries I have bugged it hopefully we can get it fixed after this update.

The spectator bug will be fixed in the next update :slight_smile:

I have investigated both of these before, the ghost players one is very complex and is taking us a while to pin down what exactly the issue is so that we can fix it. It is very difficult to simulate live server environments internally so that doesn’t help the situation. It is one of the those bugs that will just take time to pin down but we are always looking into it

The SW crashes are odd again I am not able to reproduce it internally and have been a bit strapped for time as of late so I haven’t had time to get into it fully. We are monitoring crashes better now (this includes server crashes) so hopefully we can figure out what is going on here

Well, if you need someone to help you do it in the outside world please dont hesistate to just ask me. Id love to help and my working times still allow me be to present during your full working day. If I know the day, I can be there at your service :wink:

What I dont understand about the first bug with the lobby is why we can reproduce it 100% of times and its still hard to fix it. That puzzles me, really.

The only problem is that we need to be able to control the circumstances in which the bug happens otherwise it becomes really hard to pin down the actual cause. That’s why we have to attempt in internally because that gives us control to thoroughly test the cause.

The reason that it is so prevalent on live is that there are so many people jumping in and out of server at different times of the game flow. They might be using different ways to leave; alt f4, closing it properly, crash etc. This makes it so hard to pin down on us because it might not even occur 100% of the time. With this many variables it is likely to happen with lots of people (ie live) but it makes it hard to figure out internally. Say if you have 5 different ways to crash and 10 different game states in what could be causing the bug we have to then check 50 different ways. And it might not be 100% assured to happen. We might even need a full server full of people which makes it even harder!

I know it is frustrating for everyone (including me) and we are trying our best to fix it, we might just need to tackle it differently. Thanks for offering your help the best thing that you could do is if you have it occur to you whilst on a server just jot down what happened and let me know. Anything can be helpful when it comes to issues like this

I see on Dome, objectives are not using Uppercase like on other maps so there is ‘Deliver Datacores’ instead of ‘DELIVER DATACORES’.

I know, it’s ultra low priority but would be good to keep the format on every map.
