Looks ok… I just hope it doesn’t turn into some kind of “Doom 3 levels with Quake monsters” game
Trailer featured some outside shots too… much better than the indoor ones I think
the first moment i saw the new Q4 trailer i thought that it would become the same crappy dumb gameplay like it was in doom 3. no wonder there’s no community for D3.
… and then on the same day i saw the first screenshot of ET:QW! and THAT WAS AWESOME!!!
keep it coming, SD!!!
i’m afraid Q4 could become the same. the trailer showed nearly same leveldesign as d3, mainly indoor levels. i’m curious how the final will be.
nontheless the game i’m really looking forward to is ET:QW. ever since i saw the first screenshot i knew that’s the one game for me. the vehicles make be sceptic as they remind me of the large-levels-no-fun-BF2, but i have faith in SD that gameplay will be fun.
Lets hope they will include much different game modes, smaller maps withoud vehicles etc!
For some reason the Q4 trailer didn’t really get me all that excited, I’ve been looking forward to that game for a long time but when seing that trailer I kind of lost interest. Well hopefully they’ll relase some more trailers that might show some better scenes. Dunno what it was that triggered it, but they probably should have spent some more time on that trailer because it left me a rather dull impression.
I Hope I’m wrong.
Personally, I’ve found the art direction in Quake 4, and all Raven games, to be not very exciting.
ETQW is far more sexy just based on the shots of the human troops alone. I am confident that the Strogg will look pretty killer based on that flying/screaming monster in the latest screenie that went up today.
I keep wondering will the Strogg get vehicles or are they vehicles themselves? Almost like the different flavors of insect in Starship Troopers.
