“Even though Brink is my most anticipated game of the year, I don’t know if I will still be playing it by the time BF3 rolls around, and I have even less faith that the rest of my crew will be.”…
… I game with my crew, and if they leave, I won’t be playing Brink alone. Right now, I am just concerned about getting them ON the wagon. Keeping them there will be my next challenge (hopefully, it won’t be a challenge).
I am in the same boat as you, a game just isn’t a game unless your crew is with you. I love my crew, could ask for a better group of people, but when they go off to a game I have no interest in, like most military shooters or zombie based games, I rarely follow and find myself waiting for them to come back to TF2 lol. But TF2 is getting old, tho fun, it wont be much longer before TF2 players die off. When that happens I hope they move on to a game I will enjoy playing with them. Which is why I have been promoting brink left and right when ever i get the chance with them.
Tokamak - ETQW release was in a very bad timing.
Month after it was released Crysis was released, the mighty cod4
was released (which in my opinion change the all FPS genre), bioshock etc.
All those 3 games had great polished demos (not online)…
I am worried about Brink’s timing, it feels like 2011 is the year of the game for a lot of people,
Crysis 2 comes out on march 22nd
Portal 2 comes out on apirl 18
Modern Warfare 3
(APB)All Points Bulletin: Reloaded
Planet Side Next
Duke Nukem Forever
and the one i fear the most, Diablo 3 is going to rape peoples attention from other games
(edit: Diablo 3’s relase date is unconfirmed for this year, but it’s not far off in the big picture)
I wanted to ask about this, Where are the dev’s? I know I’m new here but i have been scouring the community for a while now and have yet to come across any comments from them. I have great respect for the SP crew and what they are trying to accomplish, and with the launch date growing ever closer I know there time is becoming more and more limited, but with a community that cares very much about this game it’d be comforting to know if any one upstairs is listening.
