Not another demo thread

You’re seriously so dumb, you make 2 planks of wood look like a PC. The last 2 CoD earned 1 billion each, and you think it’s dead? Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here’s my pic… I used cart about 300lb of meat around a slaughterhouse for a living… so i’d be happy to meet you

Btw, what’s it like being wrong your entire posting life? But please, feel free to correct me on the CoD thing. And don’t avoid it like a pussy… back your total sh!t argument up please.

on topic I just want to add that the time frames for console gamers and PC gamers differs. Console gamers tend to move on to the next game very quickly, and often trade or sell their games so they can’t even go back if they want to.

I think the slight delay of a demo is smart, but for the 360 crowd, SD shouldn’t wait much more than a month (if they do one at all). Brink has to capture its gamer base before Rage and Gears 3 hit in September, to be followed by the even more devastating CoD entry and then BF3.

I will be very surprised if Brink manages to gain a lot of gamers after September - regardless of demos, DLC, and reduced prices. The window is perfect, but very narrow. Even though Brink is my most anticipated game of the year, I don’t know if I will still be playing it AFTER BF3 rolls around, and I have even less faith that the rest of my crew will be.

This doesn’t mean, however, that I wouldn’t be interested in buying a sequel 18 months or so later. I played a lot of Halo 2, and then Gears 1, but those days of playing a game exclusively for 2+ years are gone, I think.

There is simply too much gold coming out of the gaming industry mountains. Gamers have hit the mother lode, and there is really no end in sight.

PC gaming is different. With dedicated servers, free “dlc”, mod tools, and the cost of upgrading, PC gamers can be happy playing the same old sh!t for YEARS! LOL

Nice stretch marks on those massive biceps… meet me? I would cave your flappy chest in, no better yet I would fix that double chin you have. Congrats on being able to carry 300lb of meat, you should be use to it with all that body fat you have.

Cod, ravensoft is working on the MP ? that the same company that got completely **** on from how badly they did Wallenstein 2009? and they just disappeared after the release because they knew it was ****? ya you should check out the forums for that game, I would know I won a tournament playing it along with some money then sold that piece of **** game on ebay. Pretty sure then and Endurant lost half if not more of there staff because of that p.o.s game and wolverine.

Sledgehammer… this the same company that has yet to touch a game? last I heard they were making a COD spin-off or MMO type game to do with cod… this is not “cod mw3” LOL … ya, they are new right? or …

treyarch… this the same game that got bad feedback from world at war and cod3 console only? yes it was, I know it was… and they are taking of for the new cod?

ok, of course cod will sell alot… if the real developers made a name for the franchise, but once people release that the company that made waw / cod3 is the only company making it sells will decline and eventually that will be all. all it needs is another company / game / title to takes it place in return and for all we know it could be brink or whatever i.w makes… so even if they make 1 more title with cod on it… ok maybe, but it will be garbage and the actually “cod mw blah blah blah” will be done in.

I see baby stuff in the background, you have a kid? go outside and get a tan you pale lard ass. Stop spending 90 % of your life on the internet typing on forums and here goes your pic of daddy, I’ll even blow a ****ing kiss for you. Sad part is, my LATS are bigger then those tiny ass arms you have.

would you like me to post a real picture of me flexing so you have something to jerk off too?

(DarkangelUK) #26

hahah, shoulders up to hide the mantits! Yes, I have kids… hence having to be in the house to look after them, nothing else to do but be online cos UK TV sucks ass.

If a game earns billions, of course they make more… why tf would they not!

300lb was a single quarter, I didn’t want to brag it up to more than it was but ok… I shunted 30 quarters at a time. What are you benching now? I’ll let you post before I do… so you can’t add +20kg  Quick, make the same face I did… lets see how many chins you have! I bet you don’t  post your lats too! If you’re bigger than me? Give me tips!

What does it matter what the companies have done? They’re still making the game… and they’re making a game that has a $1 billion franchise per game behind it, which brings me to my original comment… releasing a marketing drive during a CoD release is ****ing stupid… or do you disagree?

lol, you don;t ave to tell me twice. Being both a PC gamer at heart and having more and more experience on console, I have found out that a majority of console gamers definitely fall under the “flavor of the month” crowd, when playing games. Why do you think Gamefly is so successful

For someone who seems… very hyped about Brink, I find this quite strange.

LOL?

Congrats on playing a game made by developers who release broken garbage… but then again DICE fans are bad gamers. I mean seriously

milking the BF as much as possible right? but then again they’ve been making garbage titles since 1988?

I think you alone have that opinion.

(Weapuh) #31

No, DICE does make broken trash on a regular basis. Which sadly comes in at slightly above par in the FPS market. They have good ideas implemented poorly, it’s kind of sad :frowning:

(Seyu) #32

Heh, I don’t know. I have always thought of BF2, BF 1942 as excellent games, even the console oriented BC2 was quite good.

(3Suns) #33

My mistake, I should have written:

“Even though Brink is my most anticipated game of the year, I don’t know if I will still be playing it <strike>by the time</strike> AFTER BF3 rolls around, and I have even less faith that the rest of my crew will be.”

Furthermore, I will add this clarification, I can see Brink easily holding my interest until Christmas. However, I game with my crew, and if they leave, I won’t be playing Brink alone. Right now, I am just concerned about getting them ON the wagon. Keeping them there will be my next challenge (hopefully, it won’t be a challenge).

As for BF3, I will be all over that ish, broken or not. BF:BC2 currently stands in my all time top 3 MP games. (I didn’t even bother with the SP.) Wild horses could not drag me away from that launch!

(Weapuh) #34

How could anyone hate the panda :frowning:

(3Suns) #35

It’s not the Panda they hate, it is his awesome yellow horse!

Pure jealousy, old as Cain and Abel.

(Weapuh) #36

Now that you mention it I’m now disgustingly envious!

(Tec) #37

Tokamak - ETQW release was in a very bad timing.
Month after it was released Crysis was released, the mighty cod4
was released (which in my opinion change the all FPS genre), bioshock etc.

All those 3 games had great polished demos (not online).

SD/Bethesda should release an offline demo if they are really confident that their
game is good and optimised enough for release and believe me if its
good it will sell.

My only concern with brink is that with cross platform games
today, most of the time the PC is the one that suffers.

(Weapuh) #38

It being their first endeavor into console developing land my guess is that they wouldn’t screw up the stuff they’ve mastered already with the PC. They are also probably aware of how the community would rage so hard :stuck_out_tongue:

(Spaiker) #39

Too bad the dev’s are busy at PAX instead of here replying to this

Fair enough. You probably already know your crew is likely to switch to BF3 anyway… :stroggtapir:
