I’m about to hit level 10 with around 100k Credits. My roster consists of an old Scottish guy with explosives and planeo, a 20 something year old medic post graduate trying to pay off her student loans, a Texan engineering teacher with an aimbot turret, and Spanish Jesus.

My aim is rather poor, and I like support roles. I also like pretty pixels.

Now, what I would like you to do, is be my accountant and tell me what to buy. I’ll pay you each a bottle of your personal choice, which will be delivered via FedEx, and will certainly not be broken into unintelligible bits.

I suggest Sawpapa or British arsonist.

Kira and Arty needs some aim to be effective with their weapons and Sky is already good against the Ev so Stoker would be a good choice if you want to deny areas.

Sawbones can help keep a team alive and is effective in combat and unlike Sparks he doesn’t need as much aim to be effective.

I would go for Sawbonez. He is only 30K (if i remember correctly) and generally seen as the “best” medic, if you can say something like this.

Also Fragger and/or Nader. I think Fragger takes more skill and if you are still lacking in the aiming department and want some merc to just have fun: Nader is your merc of choice. Of course, she is not a support, but she is one of the most fun mercs to play in public games, imo.

Like @Lord_Coctus said, Stoker is also fun, but his molotov cocktail is a bit weak at the moment. So I would maybe wait with buying him to a later point in time.

Sawbonez requires you to aim well in addition to playing pocket to be honest. You’d be better off playing Aura or Phoenix if you can’t aim with Sawbonez.

@Lord_Coctus Certainly interested in playing sociopathic Gordon Ramsay, but yeah his mollies need buffs.

@n-x Fragger sounds interesting, and I’d have a reason to practice my aim. Nader is also someone that I’m digging, however with me instinctively mashing F to ressurect (from my time with Phoenix) She’s probably going to give me awful habits.

@LifeupOmega I’m going to stick to Phoenix for now. Maybe I’ll get Sawpapa down the line.

@Cletus_VanDamme I can’t aim worth a damn, but I have been playing Dark Souls…

Either American Stud Machine or Self-Resurrecting Spanish Lazarus is who I’d suggest. Spenish Lazarus is arguably the better medic than fake Oprah due to his ability to be adaptable as a medic and not be tied to a healing station to do well.

Also just Fragger because he’s literally hot enough that I can’t promise I’d remain straight if he walked in the room.

@AlbinMatt have you experienced their gameplay on free rotation? You’d probably make a better choice if you have and saved your credits a little longer.

Just a general thing. You have a pool of mercs who all basically play the same, which is basically split by assault rifle/burst using mercs and SMG using mercs. Outside of this pool are the snipers, sparks (because she is mainly a sniping medic), and to some extent Nader because she heavily relies on here nades, Proxy because of the whole shooting mines playstyle, fletcher because he also heavily relies on his stickies, and phantom because of his invisibility thingy.

I would really advice against buying a phantom or a sniper as a beginner as you will draw the wrath of the whole server onto you. Low level proxys are also not really popular with other players, but you wont get too much hate, if you arent the 3rd proxy and when you play the objective.

Oh yeah, and I intentionally didnt mentioned shotguns

@K1X455 The four mercs I’ve listed are the ones I’ve bought. Frankly, I’m satisfied with taking these four until the end, which is why I made the thread. Just to see what you all might want someone to try out, especially​as a noob.

Also, none if you have chosen your type of payment.

You could go for Sawbonez and a new fire support. Maybe Stoker (considering that you have trouble to use burst fire weapon and Dreiss).

You can also try an assault. Any of them… I would judge you if you pick Thunder, but any of them really.

Side note: Is no ine annoyed by how Phoenix is named after a Greek creature, has the nationality of a Spaniard, and has abilities similar to a certain someone from Israel?

Tbh I don’t mind Thunder that much. Being blinded for a few seconds as way better than being exploded into tiny bits.

Also hes slow which means either he ends up banging himself while banging you or you being far enough to be cured by the time he reaches you.

There also Rhino and Nader who can just spam their ability around the corner of where the flashbang came from.
