Hello,

Some fairly noobish questions, hope you can help … any answers would be cool… :smiley:

  1. How do you mini flood messages, or send banners etc… like

  1. Can you display the respawn time on your main screen without having to TAB into the score screen so u know when to selfkill.

2 b) I was watching some high level match and somebody did a selfkill and managed to respawn as a cov ops and had about 0.5 sec or less to do this… you knew as he was in a fight right up till he selfk’ed, now no way could you have gone into the limbo menu and changed at that speed…? Are there scripts or tricks here…?

  1. I have a 3 button mouse and set like button 1 = fire and button 2 = needle, middle = back to gun, do most players just bind other keys for the rest, knife, medipack etc…seems a heck of a lot of keys to use, you’d be reaching over to the other side of the keyboard, or buy a mouse with more buttons…lol? I end up wheeling through till i find the rest …ahhh the pain.

  2. Sometimes when you change your name from system/game, pb kicks you for invalid symbols, and other time the new nick you have put doesn’t set, any tips here…?

  3. I was watching butchji (germany) vs norway on ettv and he seems to see players at a distance that i cant even make out at all, does he have some kind of enhancement script or something… :: I know he’s one of the best any probably just sees the smallest of flicker but…it could be the lighting on my screen or whatever

Well, I can answer 2b quite easily. I am pretty sure he had already been to the limbo menu before selfkilling. If you switch class in the limbo while you are still alive, you do not change class before you die. He most likely changed the class, killed a few people with his old class, and selfkilled at respawn, whereafter he would spawn as cvops.

yeah i just thought of that myself doh… That must be what he did, though i just wondered if there were things i didn’t know about like binding a key so that you can respawn to whatever class, or maybe binding a key so that you selfkill and change class at once…?

  1. DON’T Makes you rather unpopular, and most servers have flood blocks, so you can only say 6 messages after eachother. But on some etpro servers it is for fun so:
    bind x “say I am an idiot”

Then just hold down the button x and it will spam “I am an idiot”
For picture spam its a bit trickier:

You can use vstr’s, but I use different scripts like:
say " ___ _ _ _ _ _ ___ _ _ __ __ __ _ "
say "| ( ) || | | |/ / | || | \ \ / / _ | | | |"
say " | ||/| || | | ’ / | || || | \ V / | | | | | |"
say " | | | || | | . \ | || || | | || || | || |"
say "|| |||| ||____|||| || _/ _/"

I put that in a txt document and save it as killu.cfg, then ingame do /exec killu.cfg
and it will spam that text once, note this only works on some server(etpro, etmain?,…) Mods that dont have spam protection, on jaymod it wont work.

2a) Yes dunno the exact command, something like /cg_drawreinforcement???
Just do /cg_draw and then press tab, then it displays a list of things you can turn off and on from your display

2b) bind x “kill; wait 10; team r 4”

0: soldier
1: medic
2: engineer
3: field ops
4: covert ops

r: axis
b: allied
s: spectator

  1. Not sure what you mean here, I use w,a,s,d to move, so then all the buttons are within finger reach, inless you have small fingers lol :stuck_out_tongue:
    although adrenaline is a bit further then, but I don’t use that normally, I find it stupid.
    Adre is for people who need twice the time to aim…

  2. Don’t use invalid symbols, only letters numbers and common symbols not special ones that appear as boxes in mainchat
    if it keep changing put it in autoexec as
    name myname
    Then when you connect to the server it should take that name otherwise do /exec autoexec

  3. maybe different FOV, smaller fov makes you see better far away, although PB kicks at less than 90 i think. and A bigger screen helps example: 22"

I have an autoexec.cfg i want to use, copied it from someone. In my etpro folder there is a etconfig.cfg and also a etconfig.cfg in the etmain folder…

( how come its now a autoexec.cfg instead of etconfig.cfg …? )

… do i just delete the etconfig.cfg in etpro and put the autoexec.cfg in there instead and it will load up as if its etconfig.cfg. :?

put autoexec.cfg in etmain, dont adjust etconfig, if you delete them ET will make them again, so it doesn’t really matter what you do with those.

watch out with using other peoples autoexec’s cause sometimes they have settings that will mess your ET up

ok got it all working fine in etpro so everytime i change autoexec.cfg i have to do a /exec autoexec.cfg ingame and then the change sets…cool.

But…/exec autoexec.cfg doesn’t work with no quarter, whats the deal here… i get a cannot execte autoexec2.cfg <— notice the 2 it has added…

then you typed /exec autoexec2 instead of /exec autoexec
