Noob identification by name

what is wrong with having a stupid name in white letters@

(Ranstaton) #22

Well, I had a dude with an original name (I’m guessing, it had a lot of letters and was long and didn’t make any sense) and at the end of the game he told me that I should stop shooting (and apparently killing) him.

I found that amusing because there was only one person on my team who I had actually team killed deliberately. This guy also had a name, except he had a strange attraction to land mines. I was guarding the anti-tank guns on oasis and I planted all the mines. This dude must have taken out atleast 20 mines, on different occasions. Every once in a while he’d get two in a row (our medics were somewhat decent). Anyway, the only person I shot was this guy. I got out of respawn and I immediately see this guy run over a very obvious mine. A medic revives him and I, being very fed up with his little act (DEAR GOD PLEASE TELL ME HE WAS DOING IT ON PURPOSE) and I gunned his ass down. The medic couldn’t revive him this time because I made sure that he wasn’t getting back up.

Anyway, so this guy said I should stop shooting him (him as in the guy who said it, not the dipshit who kept walking over my mines) and I told him that I never did. Then he asked me why I had killed him so many times. I then explained to him the concept of the landmine (because he was a semi-frequent huffer of the colored smoke himself). And he told me that he understood the concept of a landmine very well. And then the map switched to goldrush and I proceded to win the map for the axis almost single-handedly.

That was my favorite server…

using gay as an insult is gay  :bash:

(SideshowBob) #25

Using gay as a way of slagging off those who use gay is gay… and so on…

anyways, the funniest game I played was as allied engie on Battery. We took a while to build the ramp, and the axis were quite good at blowing it back up again.

Eventually I made it to the top and jumped down into the trench… I find 3 axis mortars firing god-knows-where( it wasn’t hitting the beach anyways), all in a row just sitting there. I shot the first from behind, no reaction from the other 2, I shot the second, still no reaction.so I kill the third.

I climb onto the radar tower thing and stay there. Sure enough, right after axis spawn the same 3 clowns come up and set up shop in the exact same place. I jump down and do the same again. This time I head into the gun battery, WALK right past the man on the MG42 without him firing a bullet, up the stairs and into the gun controls.

I plant the dynamite, and wait. The only axis to show up was one of the same 3 I had killed earlier, carrying his pistol… he still hadn’t got rid of the mortar…

If you had taken the names we surely would already have a pattern to extract the noob secret naming word for “I took the mortar because my teammates will not know that I fail miserably until round ends”

It’s horrible when you are in a team mates head and he obviously hasn’t got mouse look on and can only do a “circle” look and not a “sphere” (you know what I mean  ), you know then you joined the wrong team.

(DrGonzo) #28

what about those guys who name theirselve “DaNoob” or “BloodyNoob”?!

(Belisarius) #29

Dear god, there’s still those people out there?! :eek2: I thought that disappeared somewhere around QuakeI…

(WiGgLeRiCe) #30

They probably finally caved in and traded in their Doom installed IBM 386’s for the current model computers and downloaded ET thinking it’s the same play style lol. I still run into people who still wont give up their IBM 286 and Apple II computers and they claim those puters are still better than the puters out now lol

This thread is so true it isnt even funny…

Saw a guy in a server today named “Master Ninja” You can guess how skilled he was

(X4er0) #32

Well names are related with age and skill most of the times, the uglier the name the younger the person is or just retarted, Master Ninja hmmm BlackDeath hmmm…related

Ok, I had to register after what I have just witnessed on a public server.
We were playing fuel dump. I was an axis fields op. I kept stopping waves of allies using artillery support and a MG42. So this guy in my team gets jealous of my XP(I can’t find any other explanation, I had around 400 XP and the person with the second highest XP had around 175)and keeps running into my artillery support so he gets killed and he can complain. He keeps doing this until I’m kicked. I didn’t know whether to get angry or to laugh. (Of course, he had a 1337 nick, “FreeBSD_p0w3r” or something like that)

I know it’s my fault for playing on unknown pub servers, but it would be great if this was fixed, in a mod or something, so if there is only ONE person who complains, you don’t get kicked. That might result in lamers killing a single teammate over and over though… Well, there’s always the TK ratio to fix that. But if you kill 15 enemies, he dies, you kill 15 enemies again, he “accidentally” dies again… Why would you get kicked… Sigh, damn lamers… :banghead: :bash:
