I just got rtcw : et and when I go to play online, it shows no servers, even when I select refresh list, and have internet selected as the source…All Filters disabled…am I missing something?

Have you opened ports 27950, 27960, 27965 and 27952?
If not open them!
and RTFM.
and play a bit off-line before going n00bing around the net, play every map at least once as both sides (engy preferrably) so you know where to go!!!

How do I do that? I hate to sound like a noob, but I’ve never had to do anything like that before…

Are you running a firewall? has it asked to allow access for ET when first going online?
The master server list in game does go down a bit, you could try downloading a server browser program called “All Seeing Eye” - works with loads of other games besides ET
