No servers and invalid GUID

Hello me and a few mates desided to play Wolf ET again after not playing for like 2 years. So I download the game and opened it. I choose all the internet options etc and there is no servers. So I get a random ip adress of a server and type it in. It says invalid guid. (also I have it patched to 2.60) Any help?

To fix the serverlist go to www.etmaster.net
To fix the invalid guid go to www.etkey.org

lool thanks guys ill check it out btw whats the difference between 2.60b and 2.60 patch?

em i downloaded the 2.60b file for the server list and what I do with it? It looks like the normal wolfenstein icon and when i open it it says im missing some essential files?

You will need 2.60b, that is the latest patch.

On these websites you can find servers. You can connect through different programs like XFIRE or you can connect manually by IP.

I have one et that opens with no problem but has no server and sasys invalid guid but i also hav the 2.60b patch with et and etded and both open and say missing files. I have the 2.60b et too and it says files missing. Putting the etkey in etmain folder doesnt help either with anything. Why is getting this game to work so hard…

Can you pls enumarate your problems, like with problem 1, problem 2 etc. How the hell would one even go and try to answer all this, especially since there are like a thousands solutions made by the community. And if you, as a helper and replier to this thread, would not enumerate them all, like all the other of the 999 solution makers would get mad at you lol… (sorry im drunk) so you better don’t write anything …

1: Download W:ET (http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Enemy_Territory;14380)
2: Install W:ET
3: Download patch 2.60 (http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/ET_Patch_Windows;39483)
4: Install patch 2.60
5: Download 2.60b (http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Wolfenstein_Enemy_Territory_260b_Patch_win32;62012)
6: Install 2.60b
7: Download new ET.exe for masterserverlist fix (http://etmaster.net/files/ET260.zip)
8: Put it in your wolfenstein folder, it will ask you to overwrite something.
9: Download ETkey (www.etkey.org)
10: Put the ETkey in your ETmain
11: Enable Punkbuster and Voila you can connect to servers.

You can also go for 2.55 which still has enough servers.
Than you only need to do this

1: Download W:ET (http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Enemy_Territory;14380)
2: Install W:ET
3: Download new ET.exe for masterserverlist fix (http://etmaster.net/files/ET255.zip)
4: Put it in your wolfenstein folder, it will ask you to overwrite something.
5: Download ETkey (www.etkey.org)
6: Put the ETkey in your ETmain
7: Enable Punkbuster and Voila you can connect to servers.

… or just download my server list proxy and it will work immediately.

I keep getting a message saying that I have “Failed a pure server check”. What does that mean and is there a work around?

Are you on vista or windows 7? then its a compatibility problem.
