that is strange that this keeps happening to you. Did you install or reinstall anything recently?

Try thant same utility I made here, only try each option on it i.e., “Clear”…or use “Manual” option and type in IP of ID master list

I never touched the Master Server List behaviour, even when it was down, so it may be working if you’ve not installed anything.

Try to clear maybe your etmain, if in the most recent files you have some kind of file name with zzz or ~~~…

Hi folks - Thanks for your replies - Hello again Cheesy - I ran ‘clear’ on the batch file that you (Cheesy) sent me before and I now have the server list back - Thanks again Cheesy - The only recent change to my system is a change of ISP - It would be interesting to know why I lose the server list - I shall now try to see if I can find what makes it stop working

im curious, do you have Rudis proxy service installed still?

Yes Cheesy it appears I am running Rudi’s Host Service - I only know that because I ran the ‘edit’ option in the Masterlist batch file you sent me and it told me (I didn’t actually edit anything) - How would I have found which Host service I was using if I had not got your batch file to tell me?

Maybe with your mind, you could have remembered that you installed it.

As far as I can recall all I have ever done is download and install Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and I just assumed that the server list was part of that install - Until Cheesy mentioned Rudi’s I had never heard of Rudi or heard of a host/proxy service.

Then it depends on which installer you have ET from, I guess a custom package with PB, key generator and all the stuff?

My first install many moons ago was almost certainly from planetwolfenstein.com but since it has only been from splashdamage.com
