No Quarter 1.2.3 Released

No Quarter is back with a bang! We spend near a half year to make NQ better than ever before and packed the mod with near countless bigger and smaller fixes in code and assets. Especially for the assets-part not every fix is listed, because it would be to much. One thing that most people awaited to hear: The lags are gone! NQ is now not more lagging than other mods.

Currently NQ 1.2.3 ist not supported by PunkBuster which will hopefully fixed soon. Disable it for now otherwise windows user (only!) get kicked by Corrupted File/Memory [124008] error. We know this occures since last punkbuster update and all mods under development have this issue. We have created a trouble ticket at EvenaBalance, please do not spam their ticket system.

NOTE:
If you use costum skin/sound pack or UI menu you may need rework your pack!

just a suggestion… if i get level X, i’m rewarded with faster reloading… but why the hell it doesn’t work with shotgun?

otherwise congratulations on release. i love NQ.

A bug:
In 3rd person view the “feed” of the carryable browning are on the wrong end.

can you maybe post a demo about the bug pls, becuse i tried to check the realodaing but i saw nothing wrong with 3rd person view.

well possible the PB bzg only occur on the servers which uses linux server files becuse today i was here

Both server use 1.2.3.windows based server file with enabled Punkbuster and me never got kicked there becuse of PB. I idle in that servers ~2-3 hours.

On other servers which uses linux server file with the enabled PB i got kick after 3-4 minutes.

(iam windows user as client, linux and mac have not this error)

Can somebody other have experience with that thing?

since i removed goldrush-ga dont saw anymore the players kicked with the MAX_GAMESTATE_CHARS exceeded

keep the great job guys this help us a lot to can still play this game

yes same problems but though IRATA and others contacted Evenbalance ? hope they will fix the memory kick with a new update
anytimes now when they update their programs we have some issues…

its something in server side that depends if it works or not, me and my friend have not yet figured out what.
We used to try it alot and in some servers it works and in otehrs it doesn’t

There are win AND linux boxes out there running 1.2.3 & PB enabled.
In general good news but we still don’t know what is causing these punbuster kicks …

Here is an updated windows server file which was made on december 27, 2008.
There is a difference between this last one and the previous one concerning the precompiler settings (which mean preventing accidently server crash : ) )

Pls, if u run a windows based ET server or you host the NoQuarter mod, update the file!

And btw seems the windows based servers runs with PB protection without problem.

Is there a list with all features / possible cvar settings?
I’ve had a look at the wiki.
Not sure if it’s still up to date.

I’m especially interested in medic related settings.
In the wiki I’ve found:

it is the up to date list, and in the nq package u can find a “commented” config fie with possible server cvar + some extra like weapon scripting can be foung on nq wiki.
