has anybody upgraded to 1.2.3 and was able to save the xp from 1.2.0? the .xp file from 1.2.0 is 76 bytes and when I upgraded the xp wasn’t working and after I removed the old .xp files I saw the .xp file was now 80 bytes. Is there a was to convert the xp files or will the players have to start all over again? I talk to one admin from the UK and he said his xp carried over with no problem.

Thanks for your help

Well, becuse since december the PB problem is not solved with linux based NQ (version 1.2.3) and many ppl asked for it here is a version called NQ 1.2.1.

This version only for linux based servers and work with all client (win, linux, mac) and run on the test server since november 2008., so its stable!

Features:

  • full PunkBuster compatible
  • Omni-bot 071 compatible
  • new NQ features (much better than 1.2.0 and only 3 weeks younger as the 1.2.3. version)
  • choise which one assets file (1.2.1. or 1.2.3.) do you want to use together with the binaries. 1.2.3 is the “official” assets, 1.2.1 is still a developer version which is very close to the official, but some extra are included.

You can DL from here the full pack: http://78.47.87.220/nqtest/noquarter/nq.1.2.1_for_linux.servers.zip

and you can try here: http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverinfo&idx=470056
(ofc the server run with some custom settings)

I am sorry to have to say that this server + the files have been taken offline.
I am operator of the server under that IP … and I am also a small part of Noquarter dev team, whereas this version is untested and unsupported - last but not least EB which has still not updated PB .
