No hype surrounding QW?
Yip that’ll do, or maybe to get QW released sooner the fine peeps on this forum will start a, Get Gringo an new pc fund
What about my PII 350 MHz, 256 MB and Geforce 2 MX400. They started a Get ParanoiD a new PC fund some years ago on ET, but I still have €0,00 from that…
Butok, i am happy, they said that a machine running doom3 could run ET:QW, which mine does (no not the 350 Mhz, it refuses to start, no SSE :P, Athlon Xp 1800+ (little oc @ 1610 MHz), 1024 MB DDR, Radeon 9600pro EZ 256 MB. Guess this system will keep me playing ET:QW till summer 2006 when i want a nice laptop.
and here I was thinking the whole raft of recent print magazine reviews were hype :moo:
Hard copy doesnt get around like it used to :). Not when most everything you would want to know about a game is available online. except quake wars of course :P.
There isnt even a forum for Quake Wars on this site :)…how sad is that hehe.
Funny, it’s been featured on every RTCW and ET related site that I’ve heard of (including scans of aforementioned frontpage spreads), as well as on a lot of general gaming sites. As for not having a forum here, you’ll notice that ET doesn’t have one either, except for editing / modding. You will also notice about 20 ET:QW threads, mostly rehashing the same discussion based on the limited public information.
Really, for a game that doesn’t have an announced release date it seems like ET:QW is getting quite a bit of attention. Of course, more wouldn’t hurt. (I don’t know where you got the first half of this year from. A thimble full of d20s in a dryer perhaps ?)
thats just the word thats been going around… i imagine it originates from the stores that will be selling the game… which are never a reliable source. But its still a date.
ANd yah… it has been featured on some general sites… but not very in depth at all… and not often. ANother game coming out called Galactic Civilizations II, that ive been keeping an eye on… is made by an independent developer and is handling and paying for all its own advertising… and it has received more coverage than Quake Wars… made by ID and Splash Damage
why don’t you go then to the duke nukem forever forum if you want a forum for a game which hasn’t a release date yet? :moo:
Galactic What?
I’d actually never heard of the game (or its apparent prequel), but looking at their website it turns out they’ve been in beta since before June last year, and the game is coming out next month.
To put it another way, they’d already reached beta the month we first announced we were developing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
General Discussion
General chat about our forthcoming multiplayer game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, …
:bash:
This is it completely:
General Discussion
General chat about our forthcoming multiplayer game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, our previously released game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, or our Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein maps such as The Edge 2, Market Garden and Tram Siege.
That are just too many characters so they won’t read it.
Sorry, not etqw related. Just didn’t want to look at my ‘shiny happy salteh avatar’ today.
wow… people getting defensive because I said we should have a quake wars forum… whats even greater is all the people complaining about Quake Wars posts on this forum.
Yall really should consider anger management classes… or maybe Ritalin or something. So quick to jump someones case
Thanks for pointing out that this forum is considered the quake wars forum as well, sorry i didnt see it… im not in the practice of reading every sentence of every webpage I load up before moving on. oops? Maybe yall should consider mentioning that to all the people who complain about QW posts
