Nirvana Showdown Public Map Vote

Right as promised here’s the chance for the public to decide the third custom map to be played at the very first Nirvana Showdown Match between regular custom map players and TAW, details of which can be found here.

We have agreed a selection of 5 maps to pick from which are as follows:

Retake of the Andes

An interesting blend of indoor and outdoor action with a cracking last stage which always entertains.

Arctic Assault

Expansive outdoor map with plenty of vehicle action for the vehicle whore in all of us.

ATW3: Nightraid

Infantry focused affair with fairly good blend of objectives.

Canal

Urban combat map with an assortment of light vehicles including platypuses.

Free Spirit City

Another great mix of indoor and outdoor action set in an urban location.

Pff, tough to pick to be fair, the only one I don’t want is Canal, because the other 2 maps are Chris’s already. (nothing wrong with canal, but the other mappers deserver some love too :wink:)
I think I’ll go with free spirit city, since it has a nice mix of vehicle and infantry play.

Just FYI to everyone else then, this exhibition match is to showcase a small selection of custom maps that ET:QW has to offer but has gone unnoticed thus far, the match will have ET:QW TV coverage and shoutcast plus a highlights video there after.

I urge everyone to get involved and vote for which map you would like to see been played and come and watch the match, seeing as the stats site is down you may aswell give non-ranked content a go…

chris is this the pro version of fsc or the full one. i assume it’s the pro but you dont say.
the smaller pro would be more suitable i would have thought. same for artic.

voted for FS, but think RotA is are awesome map.

Yeah full version indeed, with only two stages in the pro version I thought it has potential to be over in a flash, however I think I’ll leave it up to the teams as whole to decide which version they would like to play if it gets chosen. (seems two horse race between city and andes)

Looks like TAW are voting for valley bis instead of andes because it’s too confusing and are scared to be raped because they don’t know the map.

he calls Free Spirit City a vanilla map cause it has the “build, MCP, Hack, Destroy” setup, and probably the tunnel as something to do with it too…

but I think Retake of the Andes would be a great map, it’s crazy and I’d love to see the compilation of the match you are going to have there =P
