Nexon and Extraction

(solacin) #21

One thing I’m worried about (other than messing it up like they did Combat Arms), is the support. Nexon has HORRIBLE support. I almost just want to quit playing Nexon games simply because of their horrible support system.

Will SD be in charge of handling support tickets, or will we have to leave it in the not-so-faithful Nexon hands?

No lie on that Nexon is terrible with that

(TracyJackson) #23

Nexon most likely…anything that have to do with the server is for Nexon, design and gameplay is for SD. So if you have suggestions (once you get in, of course) on how the game should go, that’s SD for you. But if you have concerns or suggestion for the severs and infrastructure, then Nexon is the one to call.

I mean REALLY!
I played Nexon’s game Maplestory for a long time. My account was hacked, and I’ve been trying to get it back for over a year. My first ticket was closed after three months because they were backed up on tickets. The second time, I had all the information needed and they closed it after 15 days when I had waited 30 just for a reply. They asked for information ALREADY IN THE TICKET! So, apparently they didn’t even read it! I’ve been waiting 3 months again for them to give me my account back, but no luck so far. That’s just three tickets I’ve submitted for this. It’s ridiculous.

I really hope SD has a part in the support system, because Nexon’s support system is AWFUL!

Yikes =X. I just hope they kick Nexon into gear with the support, that’s all I suggest. You can never get in contact with them anyway. Good luck on that part, is all I can say. If you need Support, you won’t find it quickly or efficiently through Nexon.

And don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Maplestory. Just poor service =/

(igamr) #25

If I remember when I used to play combat arms weren’t the servers pretty bad

(solacin) #26

I never got into Combat Arms because it’s so pay to win, so I wouldn’t know about CA Servers. Nexon servers in general don’t seem to be THAT bad from what I’ve experienced. They have unscheduled maintenance like any other game and stuff like that.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, though.

It’s really just the support service that makes me frustrated.

I also know that Nexon has problems with wrongful banning. I know a lot of people who have been banned through glitches, bugs, and just stupid reasons that make no sense. That with their support system doesn’t make a happy person. How much control, will Nexon have over banning and such?
lol 2022

It worked for u first time?

For what game? when? 1888? :stuck_out_tongue:

Nah when did u install nexon that it worked first time?
I thought the same thing as you, I installed the Nexus client and made an account so that if I get a key I can just start the download straight away. I’ve never really even heard of Nexon till SD teamed up with them. I installed it for the first time ever 3 days ago.

Nexon is probably the biggest gaming dev/publisher name in Asia I would think. So yeah, they are pretty big outside the States (and Europe), with most of their games being very popular in Korea (and many Asian areas). They aren’t too well known in the West though, with Maplestory and Combat Arms being the two most popular games over here. In the East, many players have no problem buying for items and so called p2w stuffs, in fact, it’s pretty average for a gamer over there to spend hundreds (if not thousands) on buying stuffs inside a game. So I would think that mentality shifted over here when they started to publish games in the West.

Banning, I don’t really know. I think Nexon and SD will be giving out more info when they decide on it…

(solacin) #29

I guess that makes a lot of sense now that I think about it , Tracy. Nexon didn’t start off in America. The Korean version of Maplestory (KMS) is a LOT further in development than Global Maplestory (GMS, the one for the States). If, like you said, p2w isn’t a big deal over there, it makes sense that it would shift over here as ‘not a big deal.’ I do still hope that doesn’t shift over in Extraction though, but I don’t see it very likely.

I guess we’ll just have to wait to see how the balance of control over Extraction works out between Nexon and SD. It will be was it is though, I just hope it’s good.

Can’t wait for the wave though! I Downloaded the Nexon Launcher (which isn’t needed for the other Nexon games I play) so when I get a key I can put it in, download and go! Thank you for my download speed ;-; (6.5-7.5 MB/s).

Oh it’s on.

The east is kinda weird on micro transaction stuff its really cheap over there or something I heard there World of warcraft is like Hourly Subscription based

(solacin) #31

Hourly Subscription? As in they pay for how long they play?

(igamr) #32

You know like over here you pay 15 bucks a month there model is instead of a month they pay for how many hours there gonna play

(solacin) #33

Never knew there was a system like that…lol I would be screwed because I would be on it so much. :expressionless:
I guess it just depends on how long you play at one time.

(jerob1ack) #34

even if nexon has nothing to do with the games development, there customer support has a terrible reputation and their ticket system is hit and miss at best

so in my opinion im really not sure how this will work out with nexon publishing extraction

Ugh. I guess it will be what it will be, and all we can do is hope for the best in terms of the ticket system. Hopefully SD will kick Nexon into gear at least for Extraction.

(jerob1ack) #36

well tbh its not nexon its self that makes the ticket system bad
it all depends on the gms u get answering the tickets

like dragon nest has amazing gms working the tickets and he gets them done within about 30 mins of u submiting one if he can

but combat arms (not sure if its better now) used to be like 30 days just to get them to read the ticket, atleast thats what it was for me

They got rid of most of the hackers if I remember but support lol no at least we wont be getting much hacker problems

(solacin) #38

Didn’t know Dragon Nest had good support system. I haven’t played it, but I guess that makes sense. However, all of the times I’ve used Nexon’s support it was a bad experience.

Good to know they got rid of hackers :D.

It’s Monday.
Where are dem keys? :stroggtapir:

Where are dem keys? :stroggtapir:
The last time I checked I had them hanging up near my door. Although, I think the wife might of moved them because she went to get a car seat out of my car.

Will get back to you when I find them again.

(Englander) #40

Did she rip the seat out like Schwarzenegger in Commando?

Actually the keys are in ze choppa!
