Newbie server admin.

In an effort to improve my ping and hopefully that of anyone else on my ISP I’m going to run an ET server from a linux machine hosted by them. I’ve installed the game but cant find anything on how to run it as a dedicated server from the Command line or configure any settings etc.

The manual says there is a server doc in the docs file(sic) but I can’t find it. Im either blind or it was left out of the linux ET distro.

Also, this one is more of an opinion thing, Once I am up and running whats a good map rotation, settings etc to go with?

Thanks for that. Everything appears to be running now though I need to know which ports to have unfirewalled.

I decided it would be easier to ask for it to be added to the ISP game server. Surprisingly enough they did!
