i have been working on a map for a few days now and it looks to be a good one, it is inspired from the 1st part of sp game in the dugions. will have some screenshots soon, if anyone is interested in beta testing let me no. thankx

just another update on them map, most of the layout is compleat but wont be set in stone untill some gameflow testing, working on some lighting at the moment, the map has alomst 0 abient and is lit by strong candelight from torches on the walls and on the samll part i have lit so far the lighting looks awsome, will try get a screenshot of it soon, but ime not exactly shure hgow to post them on this forum

ok finished most of the lighting for the map, i normaly leave most of this til the end but for the nature of the map it was esentil, with the original meta compile the nettwork of tunnels looks exactly the same and was very hard to navigate with the added light it realy started to look good with only parts of the walls being drawn in glowing torchlight, i made the lighting very distinctive to each tunnel area so it could give you a clue as to where you were e.g. one tunnel has no light and if you look down it you can see the walls at each en lit up so you know exactly where you are, now i added two staircases to the tunnels giving them more depth and help drefing the allied spawns in mp mode i still need at least three more placing, but when you combine the lighting and te staircases you can realy start to get an idea of where you are while still keeping the long dark tunnel atmosphere, anyway finished the initai walls and arches of the main room (probably a bit like the torture room on the 1st level in sp) the cells next to them, they still need a light plcing so they cast shadows through the bars, so next for me is the 3 other staircases and the third room with hanging cages in. i no i say this every time but screenshots soom i promise (soon as i get the ambient light sorted cos my monitory brightness is foobared and doesen apear as i like it to on other screens)

added another staircase to the map yesterday and the tunnel layout is now finished and lit perfectly so now ive got to go over it all and break parts of it up to realy make it look old and battered and ime gona go OTT with thoes cobwebs things 2, dont think i will get a chance to post a screenshot fo a while

btw if anyone could tell me how to do that it would be nice

ok 2 of the picks were displaying but not anymore? dnt no why, i donjt have a website at the moment to display my work so its not easy getting picks online, ime gona trey get one as i am trying to put a portfolio togethor to hopefull one day get a job

anyway the maps not finished but they are the basic layout it needs messying up still

i displayed the images on a website then copied the url to this forum but when i closed the page the images were lost ime gona try make a freewebs website to hold these picks so hopefully will have then by the end of the day

the ambient light on the second picks is mutch higher could i have any coments on how poeple prefer it

i have now been going through the corridoors with fine brushwork detail and making it look more battered up, ime about 1/3 done with it then ive goto

place the models of chains and skelatons
place all the blood and burn marks
go mad with cobwebs till the place is full of them
and make the doors more interesting to look at

not mutch progress with the map, done more smashing the bricks up but not had mutch time, may get an hour or 2 2 nite and try finish the detaild brush work, i have thought about puting black fog to give more depth to the ong tunels and try make it more mysteriouse, still hope it will loop better when i get the models and decals put on

btw is anyone else gona post on this thread… plz ppl
