I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that the IR Goggles will detect enemies for teammates too. It’d just be plain stupid to not have it work that way in my opinion.

In case someone is curious “Galah” is a type of bright pink parrot and it is also derogatory Australian slang, synonymous with ‘fool’ or ‘idiot’. I had one, maybe silly, questions about RE (Red Eye).

  1. Let’s say, we are in the gunfight in smaller room (ie. 2vs2), i drop the smoke and use my infra-red vision, do i blind my teammates too (so, they don’t see anything)? If yes, it would be a bit selfish from me.
    Sorry, if this question is stupid, but it just came to mind.

Yes it would blind the teammate as well. But what you would do in that scenario depends really on whats happening? if you’re already winning the fight, no need. losing it though? Drop it, cover your friends retreat and possibly get a few kills. +if he spots them through the smoke like we think he does, your ally can spray at them as well.

Redeye seems OP, and he’s not even out yet. I’m just that guy.

For his ability, and incredibly strong rifles, I was sorta sitting thinking he was kinda strong, so I was thinking perhaps a smaller health pool would balance it out.

But 120 hp? I really dunno bout this one. Will have to wait and see.

He has 120 hp? That needs to be reduced. Other than that, he looks fine. It will definitely be a merc who rewards good aiming.

Definitely looking forward to seeing how he and the new rifle plays out in competitions and competitive scales, as well as how well he’ll counter snipers and buff lemming rushing objectives on larger servers. An instant unlock for me. May well be overpowered on release.

He is literally better at phantom in almost everything, I understand he is the counter, but phantom should still have some advantages. Redeye has higher damaging guns, a unique melee weapon, a way to hide his self (probably more invisible than phantom inside the smoke, and can see all enemy’s for a short period of time. Just reducing his hp to 110 would help even it out a little more. Or the opposite, and re-adding the health to Phantom.

There’s always some whine when a new merc comes out. I don’t think Red Eye will cause even nearly as much whine as phantom did, because Red Eye has a battle rifle which many people can’t even use properly, phantom had invisibility and a katana that doesn’t take “much” skill to swing.

How do you explain Arty who is most definitely a long range class (with driess, BR-16 and stark-ar) who also has 120 health? personally I think his health pool will not be an issue at all.

Arty has 120, Vas has 100. redeye would be around arty’s range for the majority of engagements. Seems fine to me.

Red eye will have 120 hp, basically hes arty with more long range options but less close range and is not really good in objective play (not even destroying the EV)
