That’s called a Kukri. Basically they’re hyperbadass nepalese fighting knives.
Don’t forget that Red-Eye had way more testing time than sparks, kira and phantom. He was quite well balanced in former closed beta builds already. There will be fuss about smoke, that’s for sure, but I don’t think there will be any further complaints.
The M-14 like weapon has plenty of spread when firing from the hip, so it’s a compromise between Dreiss and PDP. I’m pretty pleased they left the fel-ix loadouts with Red-Eye. Vassili was pretty useless because of that.

Even tho there will be some ppl to complain about him being “broken”. There is always a reason to complain when the new merc comes out even if they are well balanced

Probably not since all mercs can have only 3 different primary guns. As far as I know he has M-14, Dreiss and PDP auto-sniper rifle

No, they discarded those loadouts. Some mercs had some obnoxious loadouts in the closed beta builds, like Red-Eye having Fel-ix or Phoenix having timik. Giving a 1 htk weapon to a 120 hp sniper was totally preposterous.

Looked at it now and I can confirm that Phoenix had the Timik in the trailer.
EDIT: Though, looking at Closed Beta gameplay he had SMG’s such as the Hochfir and Crotzni.

You are probably right, but some of the mercs are just awful, and some of the planned ones are much the same.
Saying that, it makes no odds, I will wait to see what he can do, then either buy him or kill the people playing him

If that was the case, that would pretty much destroy Redeye’s teamplay capability, because if he smokes a chokepoint full of enemies, then the teammates who aren’t Redeye can’t see through the smoke and thus will be unable to accurately hit enemies in or behind the smoke. if it doesn’t give vision to the team it will have an effect like Cs where people go no where near an area that has been smoked or will spray through it. Except it should be easy to counter.

The scrubs trailer is absolutely not wysiwig with the current state loadouts, so I’d not give to much credits on it. Kira has a smg-9 with a red dot, Bushwacker has what looks like a M4/BR16… Phantom carries a 9mm/.45 pistol he can’t have either.
Most Phoenix loadouts had hochfir, kek-10 or crotzni. The timik loadout was only available in one of the last nexon’s launcher build and it was a sole loadout out of around 10. On red-eye though, Dreiss was not available with him at all, and there were 3 fel-ix loadouts out of 10.
