Well I expect nothing less to be said when next merc will be announced. Example ? In case of Thunder everyone might say it because of flash nades. Same thing with Phoenix and his self-revive. Seems OP in the first place, but it’s more or less balanced. Don’t say something is OP until it’s out and/or you learn how to counter it. (Just my honest opinion)

Arty has 120, Vas has 100. redeye would be around arty’s range for the majority of engagements. Seems fine to me.

Red eye will have 120 hp, basically hes arty with more long range options but less close range and is not really good in objective play (not even destroying the EV)[/quote]

Smoke gernades would make him excellent for objective play. o-o There are more than one way to help with an objective you know.

Just wait until someone uses 3 Red Eyes on x map with covering a little route in middle of

them or spamming it to cover a zone to deliver/plant and defend bomb.

I am starting to hear whines already on him. ;I

Use 1 Nader,1 Fragger,2 medics(Aura+Sparks) with 1 Fletcher.

I use that teamwork many times and Rhino’s are not a threat for that.

Was watching some beta gameplay of him and I really hope they kept the rifles sound the same. Can’t wait to use it. And for the first cobalt I make him to not have it.

I know that feels, except with gold. I’ve yet to get a cobalt. That said I’ve already got the magic number of 67k waiting. 50k for the merc, 17.5k for the best M4-10 loadout card they got xP.

I wouldn’t say he’ll need to be nerfed, but he’s definitely going to be up there with Skyhammer, Fragger, and Sawbonez as one of the best mercs you can get.

The smoke grenade, ALWAYS useful, especially if you’re played Counter Strike. The Infared Vision on top of that? Perfect counter for people camping chokepoints and sitting at long range just out of your reach. The M14 like Battle Rifle? Thanks to console commands I got to mess around with it a bit in the tutorial…it feels great. Like really great, the hipfire is very accurate, but the gun blooms fast when you fire, so tap firing it up close is vital. But man, I can see skilled players DOMINATING with it, way more than the Dreiss. And the better not fucking nerf it because of that, if a skilled player can make it useful up close whereas a bad or unskilled player can not, there’s nothing wrong with the gun, that’s the player ability coming through.

I’m kind of looking forward to the rage of that guy on your team who gets killed after your team’s RedEye chucks smoke into the objective room. I can taste the salt already.

From what I saw on the role call his hip fire accuracy is better.

The hip fire is far worse than the dreiss. In past closed beta, it was incredibly hard to use in CQB. In my opinion, its behaviour has more similarities with the PDP than it has with dreiss AR. It’s like a pdp which traded the scope and some damage for 3 more rounds per magazine and slightly more hip fire accuracy.

And by the way, smoke is not generating some sort of duke of hazard around it. In the last closed beta iterations of smokes, muzzle flashes were visible through it. So with some smart prediction shots you were able to locate an enemy through smokes. It will definitely help you winning 1vs2 situations, but with 3 players in front of you, odds are very high that somebody will track you down.

Well if you spam it, yea, the bloom is really high, but the stability, if you take your time is really good. You should be able to count out your shots very easily, at least from what I’ve seen.
