Both have been seen in a video(While not directly witnessed, Stoker’s flames were present) which is pretty safe to say both are ready for release, now they’ve hinted at both but tried to persuade us to lean towards one or another.

The other HUGE clue was the apple. In closed beta one of Phoenix’s more memorable lines was “Remember, eat plenty of fruit.” And thus we have the apple… Think he’s all but confirmed at this point. c: (PS. I’m still stoked) :wink:

In the trailer MissMurder had an apple. And we also saw screenshots of a rough Phoenix on the scoreboard. But I’m here to tell you, that whatever ideas you’re having. THEY’RE WRONG.

Let me tell you why.

It’s been hinted for weeks that Stoker would be the one next merc, then they release this trailer just to screw with us because everyone for some reason wanted Phoenix so bad. Then the apple.

No one really seems to realize that MissMurder at the end of the trailer was eating said apple.

There was a certain saying… What was it… Oh… Yes…

Shoe affirmed somwhere that another double release is not something that could not happen anymore. We got teased with Stoker pretty hard, with a blatant proof, and now splash damage show us Phoenix ? Would they really troll the community like this ?

Well, it seems we may have already had a few hints towards the next merc already, and MissMurder promised us a healthy hint in this week’s Dishing The Dirt video, that is due to go up. Don’t forget the possible hints in last night’s dev stream with Shoe!
