Agree! It’s all about how you play with Phantom.
Sometimes relying only to abilities is not a good thing.
I understand and totally agree that Phantom’s abilities aren’t at the top shape right now, but for me abilities never were most important. I would play with Phantom even without abilities. :wink:
After all every merc are bad, if you play badly with them. Sometimes being able to read the game and using another weapons as well is also an option. Using that primary weapon as well and not relying on katana, rushing right front of me and then cry that Phantom sucks, when I’ve shot the player before (s)he even reach me.

In the game files there are working abilities for the wet doctor who lost his bike and has been crying, for the grandpa with a gas mask and a pedophile voice, for the redneck meth addict with a mechanical wankgadget for a hand and a deployable baby fence, for Fragger’s twin who died at birth, cause the doctors couldn’t get the giant backpack out, and for the voyeur girl.
I didn’t see wet doctor’s healing wave in the files though. Maybe it’s there, not sure.

Also, there are only 2 heavies, while there are 3 medics, 3 supports, 3 engineers, 4 long range mercs, and 2, let’s say, annoying ones.
Weapon types: only one guy with LMG, 2 guys with automatic ARs, two with snipers (ENOUGH), only one of them with bolt action rifles.
So maybe it’s Fragger’s brother who’s most logical to come?

A double release would make the update interesting. We need another heavy medic and a fire support who hasn’t got that many problems with mainly indoor maps

The most annoying thing with the katana is the speed at which it kills people. I play Fletcher mostly and it seems like I’m dead un 2 hits although the skill required to do that is as much as you would need to tie your shoelaces.

I have to agree, I think he will take more strategy and skill to play effectively, without making him completely redundant or obsolete. I guess only time will tell though… c:

You can even hear Phantom coming, see him far away.
(Was it a chicken or Phantom that just did cross the road? I think I saw something!)
First Phantom has to get close enough to even reach you.
Wait, did you mention Fletcher that happen to have strong shotgun that can take Phantom out easily and quickly?

Not to mention that at level 10 + servers people usually learned how to play this game and it’s not that easy to get close. Flank has to be successful and often people learned how to counter attack Phantom.
Surprise is Phantom’s element, but it’s hard to get close while you are making audio warnings to opponents and you are visible even when you are standing still.

Of course this is my opinion, but I would like to point it out that Phantom is a lot more challenging merc to play with and it’s not that “easy” merc to play with.

Phoenix is one of my favorite mercs in this game and I find him more interesting than other medic mercs.
However what comes about tactics and strategies, I’m definitely going to test with friends how well will Phoenix & Sawbonez medic duo work in competitive matches. :slight_smile:

I feel like he’ll be better at rushing with teammates because his healing is in one burst like Sparks but an aoe, and (if I remember right) he’ll have some fairly strong primary weapons.

The only reason I doubt it’s going to be a double release is because that’d cut down on the number of 2 week cycles they could use to reinject some hype into the game and potentially keep or draw in more players.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I’m convinced it’ll be double. The amount of hints that fit both mercs, the back and forth between Nexon and SD streams etc. Well, if I had to wager I’d say it 60% chance for Phoenix or Stoker only, and 40% for a double.

Which would be nice. It can be a triple for all I care, I have exactly 200k credits so bring it on!
