Still this doesn’t fix the explosives spam issue, naders nades still oneshot squishy mercs and she has 5 (!!!) of em replenishing pretty fast to spam

Hmm…interesting! A medic who is given access to atleast one assault rifle but can’t health at the same time is something we haven’t seen yet. Her potential in-game can be argued about but I think you need to have played with and against her first to form a real opinion.
I think she’s gonna be pretty balanced. The way the Meta is Sawbonez is always gonna be a dominant force, a Medic like this will allow some secondary functionality to keep the push going.
For me that’s the best thing about her, no more Arty Spam being a major problem.

My concern right now is how Dirty Bomb seems to be straying down the path of MOBA with pick / counterpick mechanics like Overwatch.
I get it; arguably, Dirty Bomb has always had this mechanic. Aura station got you feeling down? Pineapple or two will sort you right out. That’s the power of vitamin C. But frags don’t exist specifically as a counter. Most problems in Dirty Bomb can be solved via liberal application of frags. Proxy harassing your medic? Apply frag to Proxy. Or bullets. Bullets tend to also work pretty well. Preferably when deposited into the face region.
Javelin is a bit different. Yes, rockets are effective against everybody. Shocking, I know. But see, rockets are specifically effective against Rhino.
And now, we have Guardian. Highly effective vs. Nader, Fragger, Skyhammer, Javelin and Thunder. Questionable value vs. everybody else. That’s called a counterpick. And again, I get it. When does the opposition not have a Nader or a Fragger? In practice, she’s not that really that situational. Additionally, she doesn’t actually prevent say Javelin from shitting all over your teammate with Dreiss.
But again, I have concerns about the design of the latest mercs, some of which have very obvious mechanics designed to specifically counter specific other mercs.
Like I’ve said before, I’m of the opinion Dirty Bomb has more than enough mercs and has had more than enough mercs for a long time now. Since Stoker in fact.

idk what game you’ve been playing @Sorotia but the average amount of players is almost as low again as february this year.

(ive been doing this for the past 3 days)
(its consistent enough that you can counter javelin head-on)
currently nobody in the game are hard-counter to anyone specific and any aura or skyhammer can shi t on anyone providing they have the basic knowledge and the skill required to operate the merc
