Damn thereās a .campaign file in the pk3 - itās screwing up my campaigns. As such Iāve removed the map from our server.
Marko could you please release PK3 without .campaign file? If you want you can use the file in the PM I sent you which is the PK3 unpacked, .campaign file removed, repacked with ZIP under Linux and then rezipped. If you donāt want this Iāll remove it.

I donāt understand why a campaign files messes up a server? Iāve been setting up ET servers for over a year now & never come across this problem⦠What is wrong with campaigns within pk3 files?
If you canāt get it going with this version, it looks like we will need to put a new pk3 up⦠But please explain, coz Iāve never ever met any problems in setting up my campaigns on servers, whatever pk3 file I use⦠
hmmm I just checked and Shit-Storm + M8D got servers running Daybreak in campaigns (one server is shrub the other etpro) + I set up a campaign file for the Fun 2 Frag server and just tested it⦠All clearā¦
Is this a bug within ET or could it come from one map in your rotation which is totally messed up in terms of scripts, shaders, arena file & campaign file?
Fine map marko!!! Thank you for lower the enitys on that map!!, 55 players and the server is stable!!!, the [FUN] fortress was giving our server the hicups, but now with the enitys lowered in daybreak its all good!!! Thanks againā¦
marko, i think its when they have voting for maps enabled, which tbh i havnt got a clue why u let public players just pick the map
Well yeah thatās the problem. If you create custom campaigns and those maps in there have their own campaigns in them, you mess up the voting for the campaigns (which is a feature we like to offer to our players). Furthermore having .campaign files inside PK3ās causes the user to download EVERY map on the server with a .campaign file in it. Which, if you have a large number of custom maps like our servers, is a hell for the user - let alone for our BW meter since some maps are there to be selected by the users but are not part of the default campaign rotation.
I mean, your map doesnāt crash the server - it works great, but it just messes up our campaign scheme and takes away the control admins have over campaigns.

I just played the map at the Shit-Storm Extreme server and sadly it was a 20 FPS hell-hole filled with small doorways and a dazziling number of spawn sites.
Written by an angry crack-addict whose needle just broke for the 10th time today.
PS: Substitute crack with ET and needle with game
If you put a campaign in the .pk3 file, anyone connecting to the server is forced to download the map, even if it isnāt in rotation.
Map voting is also affected, since if you vote for map X, then et will load a campaign that starts with map X.
Since most server admin make their own campaigns anyway, it makes sense to distribute the map without one, and offer a small additional .pk3 as a suggested campaign.

No since after their choosen campaign ends, the server reverts to the first campaign in the default campaign rotation
Sadly the map has two big flaws. The biggest is that axis can get onto the mountains, from behind the original axis spawn. Then its just a small walk into the complex and blow the generator. That really breaks the map.
The second problem may be server related. The problem is that in the wide open spaces of the map, the game has to transmit so much data that my lag-o-meter turns all yellow, which means it drops packets in order to stay below the max rate. My ETās max rate is set to 25000 and the server āShit-Storm - Extremeā has a maxrate of 16000. The exact same problem is occuring when we play Desert Temple on the same server. When ever the tank has crossed the bridge, and all the fighting is done around the commandpost area (in Temple) the lag-o-meter gets all yellow.

@Loffy, the entity limit seems to be 1024 in ET⦠This does not count lights & spotlight entity stuff since theyāre compiled into the map & no longer present in the BSP file. It also seems weapons, airstrikes, mines and players in game do use additionnal entities

Thanks for the feedback m8. Lowlife, Bob & I are planning on a new release of the map to fix that mountain path. Could you send me a screenshot or give me the approximative position of it on the map? Weāll also rework the PVS on the outdoor area of the map so as so spare network usage and cause less trouble on the lag-o-meter
