new ET 2.60 mac setup

(TTimo) #1

There’s already a new mac setup for ET 2.60. The initial one had some permission bugs.

b4f1ea8f8502ce7ad86bd64195724ed5 Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60-2.dmg

which you can get from id’s ftp ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/et/osx/
or from the BT tracker http://zerowing.idsoftware.com:6969/

Most of us macgamers had given up on RTCW when it was announced that there would be no mac version of ET. This has come completely out of the blue and is a very welcome surprise. Can’t wait to get back into my favourite online game! Thanks so much.

Ditto. You may not hear it from the Mac folks (right away at least, because well - they had no reason to come here until now!) but it’s a much appreciated surprise. Brad Oliver - a God walking amongst mortals. 'nuff said. Thx guys!

unfortunately, this one crashes on launch for me. BTW, Anyone know if this forum is the best place for Mac OSX trouble shooting advice?

Here’s my prob:

Running Wolf ET v2.60b4, the one that comes in wolfet_2.60-2.dmg, It crashes at startup reporting:

dyld: /Applications/Wolfenstein ET/Wolfenstein ET.app/Contents/MacOS/Wolfenstein ET Undefined symbols: /Applications/Wolfenstein ET/Wolfenstein ET.app/Contents/MacOS/Wolfenstein ET undefined reference to _dlopen expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

Im using OXS 10.2.8 on a dual g4 1.25ghz

                              Any advice?

Same as posted in PW boards, 10.2.8 will not run ET. Upgrade to 10.3 is what I’ve been told.
