new complaint, woo... shuffle XP, could it be any lamer?

I am SO sick of Shuffle XP votes right now… on the off chance that the server is filled with retards (seen it happen three times now)… I could be on the team that is just owning, no questions about it… be up 400+ pts on the round 5mins left till its over… Some imbecile calls the shuffle xp vote, the retards hit f1… then wooohoooo the round is reset back to the start, I lose all my points from the round and thus spent almost a half hour doing nothing… :banghead:

Shuffle xp is great in the respect it can get rid of weighted teams… but it should just shuffle mid-round and the time/xp should just stay as they were.
This match reset + points reset, is just lame. :rolleyes:

I agree completely… I’m very tired of having 5 minutes left in one round and a few things mastered only to have the round reset because of as you said, retards. Again, spent the last half hour doing NOTHING. It’s like typing a report or something you can be proud of, and suddenly your computer crashes, and being the ass that you are, you didn’t save.

I’m all for getting rid of weighted teams and such… but to completely reset the match is absurd. If you’re going to shuffle teams by exp, one should keep their exp because that’s what the shuffle is BASED on!!! And if a team who had a fair amount of exp at the beginning of the round before they got owned and had it shift, suddenly they have a huge advantage over everybody else. It just seems extremely retarded that the match is completely reset. It should either switch at the NEXT map, or just whenever the vote is called, and keep playing. I know I can switch sides (from axis to allied) mid game and still keep all my exp and skills. So I don’t know why this can’t be done for the vote.

ya shuffle teams but keep the game moveing would be great, we have another option to vote for reseting the game if we want that.

This is why I disabled voting to shuffle by xp on my servers. Far too often, some idiot voted to shuffle with 2 minutes left in a 30 minute round and they were followed by equally nimwitted votes.

Look. Even if the shuffle is placed at the ‘correct’ time. IT RARELY WORKS! Especially when the unbalance of teams is caused by 2 people that are playing together and ownign it up on the server. Even if the 2 people get split up, its easy to switch back tot he same team and unbalance the server again. so what should we do? NOT allow a couple of clanners to play together? of course not. The only way to balance teams would be for someone good to switch off the winnign team imo.

I was on some clan’s server once and they shuffled 2 seconds before the end of a 6 map campaign to get moved to the winning team.

Nice waste of a couple hours.

I’ve only had shuffle by xp work the way it should once. This was at the beginning of the second or third map in a campaign and one team was severely dominating the other and everyone agreed that we needed to even things up a bit. But I have never seen this happen since so I definetly agree with you guys, 9 times out of 10 it seriously fucks up the game you’ve been playing for 20 minutes or so.

I have never seen XP shuffle work the few times I have seen it done the XP values were still lopsided for one team or another.

Now shuffle teams works without reseting XP values but again it just shuffles randomly.

I also removed xp shuffle from the vote menu due to one game where the map was xp shuffled 3 times and people where getting sick and tired of playing railgun over and over again. After that I made sure it was removed.
