Also, some people don’t realize the impact of the changes they ask. Changing the “1 button does all” might not be as simple as it seems, I’m afraid.

I am confident first person spectate and demo should be in the pipes, though. I don’t see why they shouldn’t be doable (demo recording might take time as it needs complete development, ways to record/play back from game interface, sharing platform maybe…

Can’t you record video using steam anyway ?

if the DLC is 500megs that i guess we will see more patching too. 2 maps, 2 chars and some new abilities, would that really be 0.5 gigs?

hopefully they fix the f button does it all mess

Just a note on the health bars in spectator mode:

Health bars only appear when the spectator aims at them (to make the HUD more readable). By default, when spectator mode is enabled it uses the 3rd-person, over-the-shoulder perspective. Server admins will want to enable flight mode for spectators to allow them control over the crosshair so they can view player health bars.

g_spectatorMode ( “-1” = disabled ; “0” = enables spectating, using over-the-shoulder mode unless overriden )
g_spectateFreeFly 1 ( enables spectator flight, overrides over-the-shoulder mode )

Crispy, Im not sure if your post is related to the healthbar bug for disguised operatives.

When an enemy operative disguises as a team member his healthbar will show up NOT in friendly colors but in enemy colors (default red). So he is easily spotted across the map like in my screenshot (Apoc is dead in the obituary, but there is another Apoc shown with red healthbar).

For spectator mode:
The obituary does not show any team colors. Not sure how to interprete the change log so I dont know if it is intended, but I think it should be. Something like “red kills blue”.

well, i wanted to check out the new update last night- but the only active server with a ping under 150, was full… and no that wasnt a typo- “only active SERVER” singular… ouch!

there was about Five servers with a 200 plus Pings active… but i wasnt able to connect to them… go figure…
although, i’ve tried these servers before, to laggy for my liking…

not a big loss- popped on a ETWQ server no problem, and had a blast…

Good patch! But one big bug: the name of a disguised agent is still shown in the colour of his team - so this is as good as NO DISGUISE at all :frowning:

Please fix it!

Yeah I fell foul of this :frowning: Got utterly raped as op in disguise until my team handily pointed out what was going wrong… at the end of the round…

Nice to see none of the enemy team letting me know the secret :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like op disguise is trashed til th enext patch… avoid this skill!

god, is the operative really and still bugged? nobody confirmed ingame. :frowning:

im still not sure either, because sometimes i can sneak behind enemy lines and cause some trouble, but not as easy as it used to be.

also… resort has some very dark areas since the patch. did i already mention this? really hard to see players in some areas.

i even got a screenshot… there you go. pretty dark.

Did you re-adjust your gamma in video options? kick it up a notch or so to brighten it.

i didnt change gamma+brightness. both are at default=1. increasing the values makes it look overbright.

Yea and with the DOF and those blur effects everything becomes extremely shiny

but other maps look ok. i dont want to have to adjust brightness for specific maps.

to me it looks like some maps are night time now, where indoors look the right brightness

also, ive had invisible enemies and sound problems now, was ok on the last patch.

nice beta testing SD!

I`ve got this too… All maps a regular but 2nd stage “Resort” (blow up the bridge, escort the bot…) is realy dark around the comand post…

Even though: I cant say, that I dont like it. In fact it looks pretty cool - as if the lights had gone out in consequence of the explotion of the pillar :smiley:

Now that you sell it this way to me, its really cool :slight_smile:

But I still have to hit the brightness toggle in this area.

really this is way too late, i can’T express how dissapointed i am…i bought etqw and brink right away on release…i think that was the last time for any sp game…it is not reasonable for me, how could you screw that up…i mean u didn’t do this kind mp game for the first time! how could u make a game like this…this doesn’T look like u have ever made mp games before

yep i’m agree with you ! where are the 10 years of hardcore multiplayer maker ?
it’s kind of SD game… but bad chinese copy version …

indeed some graphical implements are fine, but for example on resort now we are on the absolute dark map …
do you see something ?
