Looks like some of the stuff they teased about a couple weeks ago? And looks like some good improvements. I am on xbox, and hope some of these changes (stopwatch tweaks) make it to console. I’ve watched many of the BrinkTV competitions, and feel these changes will help make it so I can better follow the progress and action. Cool stuff.

The simple fact is, Sony and Microsoft need to certify updates on their systems before they can go live. It’s easier to deploy onto PC as this restriction doesn’t exist. That’s really all there is to it.

All servers (3 so far) have global stutter that I’ve tried. It’ll drop half a dozen frames in every major engagement … makes the game very difficult to play.

Average frame-rate worsened by ~20% in the last patch, this one seems about 20% lower again. Minimum FPS now at ~25-30. 2 patches ago, the lowest it got on even the ‘problem’ maps was 55-60.

Good fixes and balance changes … but it seems like the game is being slowly re-broken.

Edit - seems to be particularly caused by loud sound-effects. Never had this prior to now.

I can confirm this, saw it in a couple of matches - haha die sneaky bastards! :infiltrator:

Also wondering if there was some general color changes in patch? friendly white seem grayer, and enemies orange, rather than red. Or, maybe my custom color tags suddenly started to work?

Just not a fan of the increased timer for defense, would be more reasonable decrease attackers respw timer to 10 seconds instead, waiting 30 seconds is just boring.

In my opinion hacking time is too long… and nechaiev is too slow
attack should be helped this way to make game faster and prevent full olds.

it depends on when u die. Make enemies take full is tactic… try to not take full is also tactic
If a fps is too hard for you, you should try games like patapon.

g_friendlycolor and g_friendlytextcolor now basicly share a function?!

before the patch i had g_friendlytextcolor set to 0 0 0 0 to disable it. this way i only saw player icons above friendly players heads. helped me actually for better view. when i set this now, nothing changes. i have to alter g_friendlycolor to 1 1 1 1 (white with no alpha) to see icons+name tags on friendly players. i have lots of stuff on my display again that blocks the things i actually need to see, like enemies. :frowning:

also, resort looks very dark in some places now. there seems to be new or a more dense fog. very hard to see players there in some places. if you alter atmosphere or light values, plz increase the light in general.

all in all it seems to run a bit smoother in some areas. but this may be subjective. only had a hour to test the new patch.

oh, forgot one bug. when in disguise, the interface starts to behave like if you are the class you just disguised as. example: i disguised as a soldier and all of the sudden i saw the ammo indicator above my team mates.

No they fixed being stuck in ironsights, but there is still no bolt animation after shooting scoped. So there’s no way of knowing that you can shoot again. I guess it’s better than nothing.

However now there seems to be a problem with reload recognition :frowning:

And this patch totally seems like it can be added to consoles through netvar.

Mine seems to have been restored to what I originally had. Back to solid 60fps vsync with everything enabled. I was just playing on Shipyard to test for the past 45 minutes. They seem to have restored my CrossFire performance as I’m still on 11.6 with 11.6 CAP2.

Still testing things to see but it’s looking promising. \o/ Lots of players fighting in the large area at the end of Shipyard, the lowest it dropped was 55/50.
