Netcode bug? Are there going to be official Patches?

Are we going to have support for this game as with the other IDs games?

The game is pretty stable but there are some map bugs and I think the netcode needs some improvements, especially with the firing animation when the Ping is above 80. It seems that the standard weapons have the firing animation appearing 2 times even when firing 1 bullet. Also all the penalties of the weapons (Bigger Reticule for Worse Accuracy/Raising of weapon because of instability) appear after the appropriate latency because of the ping. This is something wrong because only the bullet actually getting fired must have latency. So ET has some variation of the “Trigger Lag Bug”. Which means that Clients above 100 ping have actually Slower Fire Rate as they get their weapon penalties later after they shoot.

I don’t think that there will be any official client patches, I believe that there will only be fixes dealing with mod patches…

Weapon spread is calculated by the server. So while it may appear on your end that the reticule is still its normal size after jumping off a wall, spinning 360 degrees while firing full auto, the server is adding the correct spread penality when it evaluates all of your shots.

Same thing with the kickback when you get shot or when firing the pistols. You may think you’re doing a good job correcting for it, but the server is the final judge and what it sees isn’t always what you see.

The double shot when you only fired once thing I think has to do with the animation of the model. I can get this when firing the rifles even if my ping is at 30. The server still only records one shot, which is why your ammo counter still shows only one shot fired. Cosmetic issue, so I’m not sure if anyone is going to touch it.
