Needs more game types, Objectives are going to get old quick

(Trombleezy) #1

Maybe a round based elimination game type

leave some ideas

(Nail) #2

play online, no need for more modes

(Slade05) #3

Here is an idea: SD-made Baserace.

(Trombleezy) #4

they need way more “maps” then, WAY more

(Trypsinogen) #5

This game does get boring ridiculously fast.

There is no content. They sold $20 worth of content to us for $50. It’s thievery.

Love objective games, but in the spirit…
Jailbreak map. Not an escape from prison, more of a TDM where killed players are put in multiple prison cells and “free teammates” have to open the cells to let them out. First team to all get stuck in cells loses. Idea stolen from a W:ET map which was probably stolen anyway. This would be more of a one off map rather than a gametype.

I think there’s plenty in here personally.

More maps would be much appreciated.

We’ve already got the first DLC confirmed to be free - wait and see what it brings before judging.

I already know after the first update this ****s gonna get better, this game just has potential to take top spot if there were more game types. just my opinion tho

(Nail) #9

it’s already top in xbl and in sales on Steam

(hailey) #10

It’s not the objectives, it’s the horrible maps

lol, I don’t think so. This game needed to be in development for another month or two, improving core gameplay aspects. This game is brand new and still has less people playing compared to all of it’s main competitors.

The potential was during development. Now that the game is live, I doubt they will make any of the needed drastic improvements to core aspects. The potential has been missed. This game will likely die out fairly soon.

(remedY) #13

capture the flag would be good.

the game has immense potential. give it time new things and tweaks will be introduced.

??? if people still plat quake wars and wolfeinstein im sure brink will be ok, what : improvements would they need to make other than game modes and technical issues?

(Bakercompany) #15

Would love to see some symmetrical maps and generic gameplay modes.

I think it would add a lot more gameplay value to Brink. The current maps grow stale fast, and with no repeatable objectives they also grow stale.

But yes, TDM, CTF, KOTH would be not only a great fit for Brink, but a ton of easily repeatable fun.

Read: Infinite Replayability. No need to keep creating tons of new maps (just the occasional dlc =D )

thats true man, the only maps I really like are container city, shipyard, and resort

(tokamak) #17

Yeah Brink is not like any other shooter! Can they please remove smart and the bodytypes as well? I don’t see them in any other game either.

(obliviondoll) #18

Brink’s maps are a series of objectives, most of the maps incorporate some elements of familiar modes like CTF and stuff, but they’ve been reworked for the style of the game.

What I want to see is a map where BOTH sides have offense objectives, and the first team to finish their objective wins - if neither team succeeds, the one who got the most progress wins, or most XP if it’s still a draw.

Not Stopwatch mode, that lets teams take turns, but still has one offense team and one defense - I want it so there’s symmetrical or relatively-similar objectives for both teams - There’s two doors to be blown, one for Security, and one for Resistance. There’s two intel cases, one for Security to try and steal, the other for Resistance.

That also means that at first, both sides will have to DEFEND their door, and later both sides will be defending their intel.

This way, it’s still objective-based, it’s still Brink, but it would have a very different feel.

(tokamak) #19

Both sides having to do the same thing leads to a big boring compromise with uncontrolled skirmishes across the entire map. If both teams fight over the same thing you got a focused conflict and lots of tension.

(hozz) #20

Why has this not been done before???!!! WHY??? It’s like gold lying on the street, and nobody bothers to pick it up.
