I wanted to create a dedicated server on one of my boxes on a WinXP Pro platform and my “players” keep getting spammed with a Punkbuster message.
I’m getting the Message :
Punkbuster Reports PB Server Running old version C1.013
Can anyone give me a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

You need to update Punkbuster on the server. Per default this is done automatically but in some instances it wont work (for example if server is behind a firewall).
To manually update it read here:

Small correction: …if server is behind a firewall that’s configured incorrectly.
Xerxes: if you want to make the auto-update work, you’ll have to figure out why PB isn’t updating itself properly. If you don’t, your PB files will be out-of-date again when the next PB update comes along. If you need help, please describe your network setup exactly (connection type, router, firewall, settings for all) and include the output of the following commands:
(from the server console): pb_sv_ver
and: fs_baseepath
and: fs_homepath
and: pb_sv_update
(from a command prompt): ping pbet1.idsoftware.com
and: ping et1.evenbalance.com
