Need some invites for friends...5-10...Please read DEVS...
They should have paid more

They knew this is only alpha stage, and if their pack doesn’t allow access to alpha, they knew it could take time before they are let in.
Of course. But hey, they paid a full price for what’s essentially supposed to be a F2P game. Or is there a worry that because an Alpha isn’t the most enjoyable way to experience a game people will start asking their money back?

(RasteRayzeR) #22

I really think most people are not capable of thinking that an alpha is not actually playing the game
it’s more dealing with bugs and work on progress. IMO the alpha players should remain a happy few with great interest, otherwise it’s not worth it.

And one never said that F2P didn’t mean you get to pay at some point ^^

(iwound) #23

while the devs are at it giving away i’d like
2 weeks vacation at martha’s vineyard cheers. any 2 weeks will do as long as its hot.
For every five alpha invites, it is likely someone would buy a pack; as opposed to someone stumbling upon this game on accident
(which as of right now is low)

Not to be a jerk but check out these stats
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/splashdamage.com Dead in the water

I believe in these developers, and what they did with ET, that’s is the only reason why I paid $120.00

But it doesn’t take a marketing genius to figure this out
I don’t really know what alexa.com is, but splashdamage.com is the old domain, I think most traffic goes through warchest.com now. Also the site for dirtybomb is dirtybombthegame.com

Also I think it’s a bit ridiculous to claim you’ve tested every single game. When I first read your post I was reminded of the “Navy seal” meme.

It compiles all of the above websites not just splashdamage.com
So read the data
and warchest.com is just as bad
so another moot point

I would be very surprised if you named a game, I or one of my friends have not tested and/or played in alpha or beta
Hello Kitty Island doesn’t count

(Mustang) #28

Sooooo
this thread is now completely off topic.

(xtim) #29

just trying to get a good game going on
lol

(iwound) #30

oops its 3rd.

(INF3RN0) #31

I need someone to pay my bills!

(Nail) #32
Now see I would agree with the small part
But this isn’t the companies (I will be clichĂ©) first rodeo
They have dealt with the masses before

So the point is moot
this IS their first rodeo
as in their first published game (Warchest), first handling of frontend (Fireteam)

btw, we have enough comp players

(ImageOmega) #33

Xtim, here is a better solution: When are you available to play? And, where are you located? US?

There’s a few of us that organize games based on these facts and sometimes it has just been hard to get everyone in a game together because people are not paying attention to the forums or what not.

(nailzor) #34

if they give keys to your friends, then they give keys to everyone’s friends
anarchy would ensue.

the world would crumble, stock markets would crash, dormant volcanos would erupt - it would be the end of the world as we know it. have you ever seen the movie 2012? yes - that x10 is what would occur.

not to mention, unfair for those that paid for early access whom have not been invited yet.

everyone here probably has friends they want to play with, u aint special!!!

(xtim) #35

trash game why would anyone play it
!!!

Anarchy wouldn’t ensue
because it would be breaking the NDA if I spoke out about the Alpha
If my friends got in all those who paid, and/or the onlookers would have no idea
because I wouldn’t tell :X

Never said I was special, just what my friends and I could offer to the table

(Nail) #39

hmmmm, what makes you think they don’t have what they need ?

(xtim) #40

It is rather evident that many companies don’t have what they need
Not saying this company fits into that category
But let’s be honest
How many games have been released while using in-house testers (who usually get paid in one way or another) and received honest criticism in regard to the game they were testing? Probably very few
logical thinking
Why **** in the hand of those who feed you?

Moving on
It is just volunteering
My friends and I have played games at competitive levels
so why not?!

It was a simple request
A recent beta Wildstar gave out 10 Keys on top of the one your received to distribute to your twitch viewers
clan
guild
etc

Let’s be exclusionary
because we forked over some money
to be apart of something
sounds a little ridiculous
