Dont know if Im in the right place for help with this but here goes:
I play alot of Enemy Territory on various servers around the world, but im having a problem playing on No Quarter servers.
When I join these my name is always unnamed player. In limbo my name is correct and also in options/game.
I have posted in several forums with no joy.
I have re installed clean several times with no difference and Im out of ideas.
Any help would be much appreciated.
in the noquarter folder on your computer there is an etconfig.cfg I think, in there it states your default name when connecting to a server…
SO just open it with notepad/wordpad change the name save and done
In the etconfig file there is the following line:
seta cg_selectedPlayerName “UnnamedPlayer”
I have tried to change this for my name but as soon as I go online it changes back.
What does it mean?
Why post then…??
Before connecting to the server, goto the MODS menu, select NQ, check your name is present or if it’s just blank.
If it’s blank: /name “Your name…”
If not, change your name to some random characters (/name xafsg), connect to the server, then /name “Your name…”. Saves you messing about in config files
