I always wondered if there’s any truth in that last claim. I’ve heard it many times, but how would the bot know that someone is speccing the player that is using the bot? Wouldn’t that imply that the server is telling the game client that you’re being specced? I see no reason for that.

Those are genuine questions btw, and I’m curious about the answers.

Whenever a player selects to spectate someone the server sends a message to all clients saying “player X is spectating player Y”. The client can be modified to display this information or another program can intercept it as it’s received.

As a simple example, by adding this code to the end of idPlayer::SetSpectateId…

A humanized aimbot won’t miss the shots, it just doesn’t quick snap (so he could die from being overwhelmed). If you ask me the guy is probably a decent shot, but wanted to be ubermegapro and so he installed a hack and got banned by pb immediately. That tends to be how it works, especially because I am pretty sure the only people who could make a working ETQW hack right now would need to be coders… face palm is not necessary :). And yes the test spec method is how you catch a real hacker, but it will lag like hell unless you follow them super close in free-cam; even then there’s slight lag; see exterwin wallhack/humanized aimbot (he dun miss).

rex, why you don’t just relax your anus and let the proud guys from the demo do the whole work.
had some problems to bust robos friend from the demo -seems he feels it in the right testical, when someone is specctating him (even if the spectator made no hackusations) and so he ends always up flaming and disconnecting.
but nevermind he did a great job making some awesome vanillafragmovie with hilarius **** music.

okay there are many frags who we all could do, but for example wach the scenes @0.40 and @9.00mins the whole ref accu action
sometimes 48 accu and about 60 kills on infmaps with massive pistol usage are no problem for coldcookieweapon/fantomias but when you specc him he just can’t hit a deployable.
