My server list is broken!

Why would my server list be broken? Is there a way to fix this? I already re-installed it and it stayed the same.

Depends on what you mean by broken.

If ET crashes when you try to add a server to your favorites, you could try to delete the servercache.dat files in your profiles directories.

I seem to be having the exact same problem at the moment.
When I look in the console, it seems like etmaster.idsoftware.com doesn’t respond when asking it for the server list. Could it be offline or crashed?

Using ET2.60 for Mac.

Could it be offline or crashed?

Most likely

You guys could try finding a server via www.serverspy.net, copy an IP address and type it in the ‘Connect to IP’ box.

Yeah, I have some servers in my favorites, and no trouble connecting to those.
Must be a serverside problem.

I’ll try again in a few hours.

Do you have a more precise link? Advertisement is not why I went to visit that site.

BTW, after finding the IP the vast majority of them are empty. Obviously this is not the solution people are looking for.

Personally, I write the IPs down of the servers I visit most but it is obvious that there will be limited play. I got onto one this morning and there were 5 ppl (3 allies and 2 axis). Since the allies have the obvious advantage, even in a 3v3, this wasn’t going to be successful. I played for about 10 minutes and then left when I ended up being the only axis on the map defending against 3.

If this is a master server browser issue they need to resolve it fast.
