My map erooro can sombody fix it ?

Give this error : SV_SetBrushModel: NULL

And its mean/

This is an error which related to one of the entities in your map, say you have placed a areaportal texture on a door entity, thats going to give this error. You should look through your entities and see if you can see anything dodgy. Look for mainly irregular textures on entities, like the areaportals on doors, origin textures on triggers etc, remove textures that shouldn’t be on certain entities.

Debatably can also be where you have entities that are only 1 smallest unit thick. This error has been debated to whether it does really cause this error, still if the other solution doesnt work try this.

hi LxPower
When I get this error, I search for brushes that have the “origin” texture. if I find an origin-brush that is in my map by mistake, I throw it out. Then the map works fine again.
“But how can I find all origin-brushes in my map!?”, you might ask. Well, that is tricky, and it takes time.

I sometimes do this:

  1. make backup of map file, just to be safe. (important).
  2. copy and rename map file. Rename it from mymap.map to mymap.txt
  3. Open this textfile in a wordprogram.
  4. Search for “origin”.
  5. You will find brush number XXX with texture/common/origin
  6. Write down the brush number.
  7. open you mymap.map file in the editor
    8 ) click on the menu (Misc), and drag down to “find brush”.
  8. Enter brush number. click OK
  9. Go to that brush, in the editor, and take a look at it.
  10. Is that brush OK? Do you need it? Then leave it alone.
  11. Is that brush not OK? It is perhaps a mistake, to put it in the map? Is it perhaps a brush with a cement-texture on one side, and a origin-texture on the other, by mistake? Then delete it.

Save, compile and test map. If it works, hurrah! If not, then repeat 1-12 again.

maybe some other guys can make some comments/suggestions too?

Cant fix that problem :frowning:
when i find brush number just like 8 but that isnt orgin texture what i shuld do ?
Delete that or leav ?
I delete more than 15 brush but in wordbad show only 6 :disgust:
I don´t understand .

A better way to find a brush with a certain shader/texture is to select one face of the brush having that shader (ctrl-shift + left mouse). Then to select all brushes with the same type press shift+a. If you only want to view those brushes then invert the selection (press i) and hide them (press h).
