*MY* Brink Worries
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYW4KS1KKfY
i worry that there will be no options to turn radar off or radar when firing only.
That’s a weird thing to want. Why do you want to do that?
There’s no reason to be sending people away, tokamak. We want lots of people to buy this game.

Actually there are plenty of people on this forum that would like everyone who owns a console to not buy this game.
And to be honest I think it’s a crappy attitude.

you got it wrong, I intend to buy Brink for both consoles and maybe PC, we want everyone in the world to buy Brink, we just want the console players to post in the Bethesda forums

and here’s a
for you
sorry, out of turtles

I’m here, whaddya gonna do about it?
YOU CAN’T STOP ME, YOU CAN’T KILL ME
And I post in both :o
I think Jess is right. There are a few individuals on here who are a tad ridiculous in their hatred for all things console. Most of the forum is much more rational, thankfully.

When you have radar, you lose the element of surprise.
You also lose a valuable FPS skill in anticipating where the enemy will be, and the route they will take to the objective. Being aware of your surroundings, takes a back seat to staring at the corner of your screen for red dots.
Auto-spotting the way its done in Brink, also mitigates the need for game awareness. If you sprint or shoot, within range of the enemy you pop up on radar. Usually, you would have to rely on the direction the sound came from in your headphones to pinpoint their position on the map. Now regardless of whether you heard them or not, you can just look at the corner of your screen for red dots.
Having said all of that - its pretty standard to have radar. :infiltrator:

having radar on, off or when firing only changes how more experienced people play FPS games a lot.
i like having options and like to choose between different radar modes. having radar on all the time for every match would really reduce the depth and strategy for brink to me.

[li]I worry that I will spend more time customizing my characters than actually playing with them.
[/li][/ul]
This is no longer a worry. I KNOW I’m going to spend way too much time tweaking my character.
I’m worried that gloves in third and first mode wont match
That’s my Only worry, kinda stupid but still ^^
There is probably an option to turn radar off. Maybe a dev could address that.
Is there a server/host option to turn radar off?
Right now I’m still worried about netcode, time I have to invest in XP grinding, not being able to adapt midgame via changing abilities/bodytype and thus also having randomness in team composition in pubs, player running speed and after watching the abilities video I’m also slightly concerned about too much spam like mines/turrets/nadelauncher/big machine guns all over the place

If I am correct, in the latest video - the operative that was about to hack a turrent had full gloves from 1st person, and cut finger gloves from 3rd person…
EDITED: just rewatched the video - it is true
I worry, slightly, that I won’t be able to have a cool hat and a cool haircut at the same time, since hair and headgear are combined.

Yeah, that’s what i mean, they don’t match
