*MY* Brink Worries

(Herandar) #1

[ul]
[li]I worry that my pre-ordered copies of the game will get lost in the mail.
[/li][li]I worry that I will spend more time customizing my characters than actually playing with them.
[/li][li]I worry that I will get stuck playing one challenge that I have trouble with over and over again just to unlock something that I never will use.
[/li][li]I worry that there are going to be like fifty new threads in the next month about the lack of marketing, and I will lose patience saying the same thing over and over again, and get nasty and banned.
[/li][li]I worry that… No, I know that I will be playing past my self-enforced curfew, and I worry that it will happen on more nights than I care to admit, and I won’t go to bed until well after 3 AM, and I will get less than four hours of sleep nightly, and my wife will be pissed.
[/li][/ul]

Now share Your Brink worries…

I’m worried I’ll preorder another copy just for the Fallout shirts.

Worried that I’ll play this like I played WoW (IE, get off work, play for 14 hours, go back to work. Sleep is for Women and the ark has a sign that says “No girls allowed”)

Worried that people will copy my outfit (like that one time I went to a party nude)

Worried that there will be no Tapirs

Worried that Skyrim comes out on a Friday in the US (Still trying to figure that out)

Worried my boss won’t give me May 17th off (or November 11th for that matter)

  • [li]I worry that I’ll be so great at the game, that when I click the matchmaking system, I’ll be the only one on the server

Worried that this forum will become completely filled with threads with names like My Brink worries, Worries for Brink and I am worried for Brink.

i worry that this game will make me turn it on and play while fornicating with my lady friend causing her to get upset

i worry that i will force myself into a sever injury but not to bad just enough to be bed stricken for at least a month with a fridge full of mountain dew a TV and brink

worried that my social life will be successfully brought down to a nothing state

(LyndonL) #6

I’ve noticed that in tv shows/movies. Why is Mountain Dew synonymous with computer nerds?

(Nail) #7

It was the original high caffeine drink, before bawls et all, except in Canada, we have a law against caffeine in any fruit flavoured soft drinks, here Mountain Dew is now an"Energy Drink" so they could add the caffeine

Canada: America’s Hat.

Which of course, leads logically to the following:

Russia: Georgia’s, Abkhazia’s, South Ossetia’s, Azerbaijan’s, Kazakhstan’s, Mongolia’s & China’s hat.

Which further leads to:

Mongolia: China’s Toupee.

A movie, book or game can launch on any day that the publisher wants. New releases in North America typically come out on a Tuesday, because that is the de facto standard day and the distribution systems set up by retailers are designed around it. (Similarly, new movies at cinemas come out on Fridays, unless the publisher decides to release it on a different day of the week.)

If a publisher thinks that their product is big enough to warrant a non-Tuesday release, they can certainly choose to have one. It just means that the product release in the retail store is delayed from that Tuesday. Most retailers will have their copies of Skyrim in the Tuesday before the annouced release date, but will keep it in the back.

Breaking street date is frowned upon by the industry, and if a retailer is found to knowingly break street date, the publisher can and will blacklist that retailer on future products. Having a non-Tuesday release only really works on major titles that have a significant following. If you have a small indie film, and you state that the release date is Thursday, it will probably be stocked on shelves on the Tueday, given that most retail is staffed by minimum wage employees.

I’m worried more useless threads like this will turn up in the near future and once again I will have to click that lovely Mark Forums Read button just to wait for more crap.
