People seem to forget the thing that has been mentioned many times here.
We don’t care that you stare at the ass of your male character instead of play the game if you roll male. We don’t care if you want to play a female character. We just don’t want you in our guild/clan. Stop hammering on this issue, get over it, move along.

I have a question, there are no female characters in Brink, and so u will not allow your clan girls to play? Oh and can I ask why u don’t make a rule – if u fat in real life u must play only heavy body type

We answered this like two pages ago… It doesn’t apply to games in which there is no choice.

But in any case, you guys really can’t seem to get over this, can you? I dunno why you’re making such a big deal out of it; none of us do. It’s one of our many charter rules, one of the least mentioned ones, actually. Generally, this topic is touched on once in a recruiting thread, we explain our reasons, and then move on. I find it ironic that you guys are so hung up on it and are turning the obsessiveness of it back on us when it pretty much never comes up even during the app process. People see it, decide whether or not it effects them enough not to apply, and move on. We mostly discuss the other charter rules and how they apply - no retreat, no trash talk, etc…

Sooooo, discuss!

How would you go on games like Left 4 Dead where you HAVE a choice to play as either sex, but if the sex you are is taken you HAVE to be the other sex? Do you feel dirty and have to wash yourself in the shower ala The Crying Game?

they probably make sure they have the right ratio of guys to girls, and if they are pugging it, and the guild members don’t get the right genders, they probably all quit, lol.

I can answer. The thing is a skilled FPS player doesn’t give a hell about character gender, all that matter is to be a harder target for enemy. If Brink would have female characters in future I’m definitely will play a female char just coz its smaller, and I will have a little supremacy.

i would hope that if splash damage did add female models into the game at a future date, they would be competent enough to give the same size hitboxes…

Haha, don’t think we’ve had that problem. I think Matriarch is the only girl that plays L4D with us and she always takes Zoey. I get the joke though and no, we don’t care in games like that… only in games with RPG in the description. One of our guys Mitsu does do a good job of roleplaying Louis though.

Na, I wouldn’t call in the cavalry for this. In Darkfall sometimes I would force redirect everyone on our forum to view a thread or poll on the Darkfall forums… that was pretty interesting. If I’d done that here this thread would be 15 pages long and closed by now.

We don’t ban people from the guild for it. It’s in the charter. People read the charter, think “well that sounds interesting” or “that’s not my style” and apply accordingly. If that person generally plays/is playing a female character when they’re a dude then they probably won’t apply and that’s the end of that. I’m assuming you guys are harping on this so hardcore because you’re an fps playerbase rather than an mmo playerbase and don’t have as much experience with that type of game/gamer.

This policy is one of our many charter rules and, as I said, it’s one of the lesser ones; a policy to be read, accepted, and moved past. It’s not even an issue with Brink. Generally, when we do recruiting threads, people like to discuss/troll about the charter rules that DO apply to that game. For example, in Darkfall, being a full loot game, people had a field day with our “No retreat” policy. I believe that thread was zerged by multiple guilds, went up in flames, and then was closed. Fun times were had by all. That being said, let’s move on to another charter rule, there are four main ones, one of which you’ve already found. Here are the other three:

None of that “come on you fagget bitch attack me” or “lawl I just wtf pwnt you” crap.

If you can’t handle getting killed in a video game or being insulted on the internet then you obviously have more serious problems in your life to worry about. Get control of yourself or get the **** out.

We have a no tolerance stance on this, any kind of third party software usage, exploiting or general cheating will get you kicked the **** out. We beat the crap out of people fair and square.

We had a no running rule in there too “There is no path for retreat” but I took it down for some reason, it was always the hardest to follow but we’ve always successfully obeyed it even in Darkfall where not running from a zerg meant losing all of your equipment or in APB where the game almost forced criminals to run. I’ll put it back up when I redo the website next week.

i don’t see how whether its in the charter or not effects whether you are banning people from doing it…

sure, lets go over another. exploit. define an exploit. is bunny hopping an exploit? is quickscoping an exploit? is facestabbing an exploit? is spawncamping an exploit? is nade jumping an exploit?
